I got to play the demo at E3 this year. I like the concept of one bite and your dead and thats it you have to start all over again as another survive. As graphics goes, it looks great to me especially in person. It's obviously not it its final version yet. They still need to polish it here and there. I mean they should a trailer after a month or two and the game was much more polished than the E3 demo.

My ZombiU demo...in FPS view ;) http://youtu.be/4YGEuXHMVRU

A much more polished demo from thr E3 demo. Very big improvements. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBAjKx2BtBQ&feature=watch_response

I really liked your video! Seems like a great game :D I'm definetly getting it!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I fully agree with you Danne. Even if they are releasing many games on WiiU, they are all low-risk games.

We will not see more than 3 to 5 high-grade exclusives on the WiiU until, and only if, it becomes the undisputed market leader. Until then, enjoy them multiplats and low-risk new IPs.

Great article DS.

Tanks for the compliment! :D

I read around the internet that Wii U has not enough shaders.

Anyway, even if developers has a lot of experience in HD development, Wii U is rumored to have a different architecture but nobody has reported how much. Let's take in consideration Nintendo tweaks. That's about GPU, while for CPU is rumored to be Out-of-Order (OoO) which needs to be developed for and not only porting. But iirc CPU is for physics and AI instead of graphics.

Hopefully at Nintendo Christmas, I mean, Fall Conference we'll see first party games using more of the power of the cons...

...What the fuck I'm talking about? Wasn't gameplay more important than graphics? And weren't we happy with Wii graphics? Why are we discussing this?

I can't imagine anyone could be happy with the wii's graphics, unless they still own a CRT, Did you ever play the wii on a large HDTV, it's low resoltuion looks like utter crap.

Played Wind Waker and now Paper Mario TTYD on a Samsung Plasma HDTV (42"), and I'm happy. But as mentioned before, that's only about me.

Same here.  Highly stylized Wii games with less detail, like Punch Out, look great on my 42" plasma.  Smash, Mario Kart and the Galaxies all look fine as well.  But the ones that shoot for more detail/realism, such as Twilight Princess, look more noticeably flawed when blown up to that size or bigger, IMHO.

The Wii U most likely has a 1-year window before other next-gen consoles are released. And it takes developers quite a bit of time (more than 1 year is reasonable) to really dig into the guts of any hardware and find its potential. So it's both fair and realistic to assume that the Wii U may never have a game that looks significantly better than the competition. There will certainly be games right off the bat that look really good (in a 'current-gen' sort of way), but I hope people really keep their expectations in check for this new console.

I think people really need to keep their expectations in check for the PS4 and 'XBox 720' ...

Using PC games as an example, it takes substantially more processing power to play a game at high detail while running it at 1080p@60fps than it does to play the same game at medium detail while running it at 720p@30fps; and the overall difference in appearance is fairly minor. If the Wii U's GPU is based on a Radeon HD 4850/4870 it would probably take something similar to a Radeon HD 6850/6870 to make this kind of a jump.

I highly doubt either Microsoft or Sony are going to follow the XBox 360 or PS3 gameplan closely and release an expensive, high energy consumption console and sell it at a loss while risking a high failure rate due to excessive heat. So I wouldn't expect to see a GPU that is substantially better than a Radeon HD 6850/6870 in either the PS4 or 'XBox 720'.

Beyond that, the Wii U will likely have a significantly larger userbase for (at least) the first few years and it is unlikely that third party publishers will ignore that in favour of higher development costs on platforms with smaller userbases. In fact, I think what we've already seen with the Wii U will probably continue with other next generation consoles for their first year on the market (at least); third party publishers will (likely) design their games to be played at 720p@30fps on the PS3 and XBox 360, the Wii U will likely get enhanced visuals that run at 720p@60fps, and the PS4 and 'XBox 720' will get the same visuals as the Wii U rendered at 1080p@60fps.

Basically, 95% of games released for any next generation console will look roughly the same ... the other 5% of (mostly first party) exclusive games may show off the additional processing power of the PS4 and 'XBox 720'

Well, I specifically did this approach of filming Wii U demos because of the Wii U GamePad so people could see it in a better angle. If Sony and Microsoft makes a Wii U-like controller for their next consoles, then sure. The Vita and SmartGlass does not count ':p
