Rory just covered a lot of their big issues, but I think some less talked about ones are the attitude and quantity of players City attually have. City have 38 active players (this is players who /could/ play, even though only 14 at a maximum will get played per match, now some of these (Tevez and Ballotelli) are just trouble makers in the dressing room, which doesn't make for a happy camp. Similarly because so few players are actually playing right now in the active team, many wont be happy with their bench role (I imagine Lescott, Milner, Barry and Sinclair could all fall into this category), finally add to the fact that some players don't care about city (Nasri defending in the wall for Van Persie's goal in the derby). Stick all that together, it's not that surprising they don't do we'll all the time (even if they've still won 4 out of the last 6 :P).
Liverpool haven't been doing too badly the last few games :) A convincing win over Sunderland is very good, but even better is us signing Daniel Sturridge! :D He was amazing at Bolton and I can't wait for him to recapture that form! :D |
Ballotelli will be gone in January window for sure, Mancini and him had a bust up today even! Scott Sinclair is an idiot money grabber, he was first choice with Swansea every game and making himself look like maybe an England team prospect, now he is lucky to make City's bench and will likely end up loaned out to another midtable team in the summer or something, wasting part of his career just for the big money, it's stupid but I guess some players care more about money than playing the game, which is sad really. Nasri lol, he had one good season with Arsenal and other than that he is pretty average, don't get any of the hype over him at all, he has been really shown up with City, only had like 5 or 6 games where he looked any good for them.
Liverpool are impressive in so much as they spend money like a top 4 club yet somehow manage to not finish in the top 4 season after season :P Sturridge is potentially a good player but Chelsea let him go because he can be really selfish at times, that might suit Liverpool's game more though under Rodgers. wonder if Andy Carroll will ever play for them again lol, £35m for him and he could end up moving to West Ham or back to Newcastle for less than half that
