Why is everyone disappointed in the second week of Mario? I don't get it...

It's the sequel to one of the best selling games of all time. Expectations were that this would match those 20+ million sales worldwide.

Why can't it? Mario has looooong legs.

Carl is a Piplup hater and deserves to be punished eternally.

It still can. People were just expecting a more dramatic beginning, that's all.

Love and tolerate.

3DS isn't and won't ever be the DS.

That's the explanation for Mario sales. It's very simple.

DS had 2 million more hardware units sold than 3DS at the same time and NSMB DS was the first 2D Mario game in a long time, which is why people quickly flocked to it. Series fatigue people.

By the way, the game releases in 4 hours. Just wanted to point that out. ;)

Long legs is a myth.

If 3DS underperforms, they will probably rush it.

But from the sales its been having, that doesnt seem like its underperforming though or not as bad as it was a year ago.

3DS had a massive pricecut, and now XL arrived. I'm not worried about these last months of 2012, but Nintendo better be preparing things for February 2013 onwards.

Like I said some weeks ago, Persona will be Vita's Mario Kart (a poor man's Mario Kart, but still).
It's the must buy game for Vita - funny it's an JRPG, a genre known for zero legs

There's another point about Mario sales: competition

The scenario was much less competitive in NSMB days. Not only 3D Land (best selling 3D Mario) recently got released and 3rd party gamesofferings are much (much!) bigger
