Who likes charts?

Of course, 3DS, Vita and PSP all launched in the spring. DS launched during the holiday.

360 and PS3 were 300k+ in March. 3DS hasn't reached that since December.

America needs a Xbox 720 to provide a bit of spice to these sales

For reference, Vita sold 45k for the month of July in Japan.

3DS ~130k in USA and what in Japan? 500k? :O

3DS XL released in Japan on July 28th and sold 193k in 2 days.  3DS XL doesn't release in the US until Aug 19th.  So yeah, naturally Japan saw a huge increase in 3DS sales that the US hasn't gotten yet.

Well, I'm certainly hopeful. E3 oddly lacked Vita news. I'm sure Gamescom will have news of releases that will coincide with Wii U's launch.
I'm merely considering the most strategic business move Sony would do in why they would withhold Vita news at E3, which would be to plan releases around Wii U's launch.
