Forums - Gaming - Rumor: Leaked picture new Prince of Persia

Give me reboot. I don;t really need a sequel to 2008 pop though i liked it.

Looks so nice!! I wish for a "reborn" of the franchise. But nothing that resembles Assassin's Creed for God's sake.

It's funny to see comments in a thread like this and then laugh at those people who rallied behind that Kotaku article wishing for developers to show more earlier.

NOOOOOOO!

If they're thinkign about bringing the prince back, do a sequel to Prince of Persia 2008!

Agreed. I loved that game. One of my favorite games this gen.

Wait you guys actually prefer the gameplay of 2008 to the previous entries in the series? 0_o this is MAdness

I LOVED the gameplay of 2008, along with the art style, the music, and even the storyline (Which was basic but still enjoyable), it's one of my favourite games this gen, and yeah I do prefer the gameplay of it to the previous games...

0_0 WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!?

I ...I dunno what to say...for me it's the exact opposite. Loved the art style but other things, especially the combat..I felt was horrible compared to the previous ones. I couldn't even finish the game cuz i was so frustrated

that experience was the only reason why I didn't buy the last PoP game...even though I heard it was pretty good. I'm a HUGE fan of the previous pop trilogy

I'm Bristow on this MUGEN, 2008's prince of persia was probably the best one I played, the story was great and Prince and Elika were probably the best non-couple that became a couple,(somewhat) the conversations between the the were sweet and funny, I rembered every time you purified the lands I just sat there for a moment to take in the luch environment while holding elika in your arms ....good times.

my only complaint was that the game was too simplistic, I don't think you can die in that game.

See, I actually LOVED this, yeah the game was simple and you couldn't die, but I find that to be a big plus:

In a game where you can't die, you're not pressured to try harder or anything and there's no stress to come from it, I hate being put under pressure and being stressed during games, which is why I rarely play on the hardest difficulty (I won't play Killzone 2 on the hardest difficulty, but I can beat the ladder on Mortal Kombat no problems whatsoever on expert), basically on this game it means you can play at your own pace and can actually enjoy the story and what's happening rather than raging because some enemy keeps killing you and you have to restart from a checkpoint or something, y'know what I mean?

Also yeah, I loved the conversations between the Prince and Elika, they were a nice touch, especially when you could start a conversation up with her at any time to get to know more about her (There were trophies/achievements for it actually lol)

I think people focused too hard on the "Not dying" mechanic. I felt that the mechanic was more like a well designed checkpoint system. If you were in the middle of platforming, you are sent back to the last platform you were firmly standing on. This is like most modern games, but instead of showing a death animation, they showed you geting saved from death. Some of the platforming moments were tough, but most of the time it was fun fluid and relaxing.

But then again, I play most games on normal or easy difficulty, since I am not limited to a couple games a year anymore and I also don't have as much time to game as I did when I was younger.

The black prince of persia on Egypt. Makes sense.

Yes. The Egyptians had so many different slaves. And having a black slave as the protagonist is fine with me, but does that mean that the "Prince of Persia" is not the lead character? Persians may be dark, but not really black. But I guess it's a video game, so it doesn't really matter.

Also that guy is so bulky, I have a hard time seeing suck a large guy running on the sides of walls.

The screenshot looks amazing but I lost faith in PoP with the atrocious game from 2008 where you couldn't die.

a most unimpressive screenshot ever

Ubisoft - "Now we rip off our own games as well"

That's what I was thinking do we really need an Assassin's Creed rip off.
