Highly doubt this is true.
smells like bullshit
There is no such thing as Origin netcode and even match making etc is not handled by Origin that is all handled on a game by game basses, even BF3 Origin's flagship game has it's own septate system for online called Battlelog which handled it's own freinds lists, match making and server system. There is no way that there would be one netcode that every game would have to use anyway because different games have different requirements you can't use the same net code in a racing game as you would in an FPS for example and even 2 different games in the same genre could use different netcode.
Then you have the stupidity of EA thinking that they would be able to take control of Nintendo's store front. There is no way in hell Nintendo would agree to give complete control of the store front let alone a 3rd party have control over other 3rd parties access to the service. I can't believe for a second that, an idea that absurd was seriously presented to Nintendo. Creating and maintaining the infrastructure maybe but not the day to day running of the entire online system. And I can't see how Nintendo turning down such an absurd offer would affect support from entirely different divisions of the company.
Also I am not sure about the timeline of this, because I know that Moor went to check out the Wii U
"“From our perspective right now, specs are a big deal,” he said, adding that during his trip, he will looking to find out more about the gadget’s graphic and computer processing units, its price and when it might be shipped."

But after that trip he talked up the Wii U's online system, and that was last November months after E3

When is this falling out meant to have happened? some time early this year? because development of EA's Wii U support must have been decided long before then.
Then there is the Mass Effect trilogy comment, the problem with which is MS owns the publishing rights to the first game. Which is why it was never released on the PS3.

Eh, I'm not sure if I want anything to do with EA mixed with my Nintendo other than their SoftWare. (For Variety.)

If there is no netcode then how does it run on the internet?

Notice the part where he suggests that EA would give Activision bad netcode for CoD? In games netcode is basically the system that keeps clients synced up when playing over a network.

Then wouldn't there net code be needed to keep Origin synced up with whatever network is hosting the current game in play and Origins own servers? How else would the integrity of the connection be maintained? It would make no sense to simply log into origin and then have them complete shift all information to another party. There would be no point.
I don't totally believe this but something had to go down between now and E3 11 that made EA sing the Wii U's praises but show up the next year with practically nothing.

CoD doesn't use servers it is peer to peer for multiplayer anyway. Unified freinds lists with online status etc would be handled via PHP I would imagine, which I have never seen called netcode. I am not sure what else would need to be synced.

Mass effect, Battlefield, FIFA, Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Burnout, The Sims, Crysis and Skate all suck?

Most of them do, and the rest I can get on my PC. So yes, I don't want Origin in control of my Nintendo just for a bunch of multiplats.
Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.
