If it's true then I'm glad. But I really won't believe everything I read on the internet!

If Nintendo bent over to EA for Origin, it would mean killing off other third party services like Uplay and Steam. This sounds very selfish on their part. Why discontinue support for a system (that hasn't launched yet) because the manufacterer won't pander to our requests?

I agree. As I said in the other thread F*** EA. The Wii won without them. The Wii U can do it as well.
Sometimes I wish Nintendo would take a strong arm response to some of these trashy, bad mouthing devs and their bad intentions. Nintendo you take the upper hand while they still have it and smack some of these obnoxious companies around, for their fans that keep getting short handed if nothing else.
They should tell EA that if they aren't going to release quality titles on the system then they aren't needed on the system. Take the initiative. Once again, the Wii did fine without them.

Are you talking about EA games on the Wii U?
Because EA have released some amazing games this gen.

Not on the Wii, and they have already stated that they are going to use the Wii U as a throw away console just like they did with the Wii.
This seems completely plausible...
I know Nintendo has historically been over controlling with its third-party agreements, but this is one case where their decisions are completely justifiable...
If this is all true, that is...
I remember hearing that WiiU might support Origin and Valve...
I expected Origin support because of all the EA consultations...
I wonder if we will see Origin at all now...
I hope it's true that Valve is interested in supporting the Wii U...
Have a nice day...

Something about Sony not updating Ad Hoc Party, or supporting it in the West, or something, that Capcom got all pissed off about.
As for the topic at hand, this makes a lot of sense about how we've suddenly seen a flurry of articles about EA games for the Wii U: how Mass Effect 3 is suddenly being ported by a third-third party (not BioWare), and how Madden and FIFA are suddenly missing features that the PS360 versions have.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
Man eff EA... Steam is a much better service with a far better library of games. If Nintendo and Valve could come to some sort of agreement, that would be killer. Valve has infinitely more credibility with gamers everywhere of all types than EA does. Plus EA's stuff hasn't been all that great as of late anyway... Battlefield 3 sucked no matter what anyone says about it, Mass Effect is done unless they decide to milk the franchise even further... and oh no, Nintendo fans are going to get gimped ports of EA sports titles like we've gotten every year going all the way back to the SNES days... the horror!

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
Im not buying it, not because i dont think EA wouldnt do something like this, but why JUST Nintendo? Why not, Sony and MS?? Why werent they approached about Origin? If it is by some chance true, then good on Ninty, this would have been a crap deal that would have gained them little is anything at all.
