Very true. Pretty much all films based on games have been pretty damn crap to be fair. Im looking at you Resident Evil.

Resi 1 was a good film and Silent Hill.

Silent Hill was very average at best. Resi 1 was awful. Seriously how could they maake such a bad film? It was bad even to the low low standards of Pual W S Anderson. Why was there a character called Alice? There is no Alice in the games. There story of the mansion incident would have made a great film. The story was there.

I have tried to run God of War as a movie in a silmulation in my mind and it never works. Basically the problem I have is with the fact that they would need to follow Kratos throughout the whole movie because otherwise they would have to show like scenes which are happening in another place, like watching the gods having conversations or introducing other characters that we wouldn't care for and I think it wouldn't work. The story in GOW is pretty much following Kratos and experiencing it through him.

I think Mass Effect can be an awesome movie, but only if it is an original story and Shepherd is not in it

It's quite funny that of all the games they could list, they mostly pick the ones that have an opportunity of being decent movies. Also why is destroy all humans in that list??? If that is considered a great game, then the list might as well point out why prototype and kinect sports would make terrible movies as well.
