Denver played exceptionally well. Even their second and third strings did a great job. On the offense I really liked what I saw from Oman, I hope he gets a spot on the team. Hanie and Weber also did pretty well.

Yes, the depth of the running back position sure is a good thing for Denver. I just wonder who will be number one. Most of all if any player goes dowen it will be good to be solid at the position.

Without Tebow it is hard to think the Broncos will be number one in rushing, but they are solid there and they should be good.

Yeah Moreno was kind of a let down though, but I guess he has a few more games to prove his worth.  I believe we'll be a top team in rushing again this year.  Mostly because were probably going to not make Manning throw every ball like the colts did.  Got to protect the investment haha.

Moreno did very well last season before his injury. Plus, I think of him as a quicker speedier rusher, while Maghee is bigger and has more power, No matter what Denver lives by a history of good rushing and to think of it being abandoned does not seem likely.

If it weren't for Saint's Gate I'm pretty sure New Orleans would have had a pretty good change of being the first NFL team to win the Super Bowl in their home stadium.

Anyone gonna play some fantasy football?

Two more Super Bowls at that age?  Ha!  The only guy that I can think of that's ever done that is well... er... John Elway and Peyton Manning is no John Elway.

I am going give my less tall response and agree with you. There too many really good quarterbacks and teams to make a champion. Parity is pretty close.

Though I believe Manning has the numbers to easily out  do Elway. Most fans blame it on his long time performance under conservative coach Reeves. Thankfully, I only remeber the time under Mike Shanahan.

As far as the Broncos tonight, I really liked the performance of Willis Maghee and Moreno. We we need a good running game rather than the all passing game of some teams to be the best. And wow amp Chacagonians sure did boo Caleb Hanie when he looked pretty good.

Elway played during an era where QBs actually were allowed to get hit... hard.  This made it so you had to run the ball more.  Elway took three crappy Broncos teams to the Super Bowl early in his career (and lost).  He was so good that he had three receivers that were built up as superstars and called "The Three Amigos".  They were all eventually traded to other teams and given big contracts.  One wound up decent and the other two were absolute crap without John.  When he finally got a good team around him he won the Super Bowl twice - in his late 30's.  That sort of thing is unheard of.  John Elway honestly could be the best QB of all time.  Manning plays in an era where a mediocre Lions QB can throw for over 5000 yards because the QBs are so protected.  The NFL has become a game of NFL Blitz.  Whoever has the ball last wins.

I would be concerned about the preseason game if the Bears played anyone of importance (Cutler, Forte, Peppers, Urlacher, etc. all sat out).  Hanie still sucks ass.  Trust me.  He looked good in preseason for us too.  That's why he was on the team for four years.  Wait until he sees real game action.  The guy is horrendous.

Tonight, the Packers and Chargers preseason game will be the first to ever involve a female referee. What do you have to say about this, RolStoppable and others?

To my surprise, I'm actually not a fan. I like seeing coaches and players rip the refs a new one. But I'm not going to enjoy seeing grown men yelling at women. :/

Adding a female ref is one of the greatest things the NFL has done recently and potentially has an impact that goes way beyond sports.......

I get to watch another horrible year out of my Jaguars....T_T

On the brightside, Gabbert has nowhere to go but up!

Yeah you right and I'd rather have him then Tebow anyday.

Former something....

49ers, Redskins, and Broncos will dominate this year with Redskins and Broncos in the Super Bowl and a Redskin victory.

No way a rookie quarterback will take the redskins to shamrala. I think the 49ers will remain good as Harbaugh seems like a good coach and that defense should keep them good even if the have a terrible quarterback.
