NFL says call was a good one. Don't expect them to bend on the officials.

Also, you are claiming this call would have been made with the real officials... thats a bold claim

Also, didn't the officials blow a call earlier which led to the Packers touchdown? From what I gather if this call was made the game wouldn't have came down to the last play of the game anyway.

Also, if I were a ref on the field I would call it a touchdown too knowing that there is a better chance of getting the call right that way being that scoring plays are reviewed

Refs did blow a call twice in Seahawks favor. Once when Gennings made the first down(short of TD cause he was out of bounds), but the ball was placed bad so they gave third and short. Then when Aaron ran for a first which was called short, but McCarthy threw a challenge flag that reversed the play to a first down. So ya the refs blew a call for the pack, but luckily McCarthy is a very smart challenger.

The refs blew it once not calling the PI, but again with the obvious interception. Yes, there were a couple of bad calls that didn't go in seahawks favor, but nothing that was game threating like these.

I'm glad that the Packers suck so far this season. The way they stunk in the playoffs last year after going 15-1 in the regular season they really don't deserve to make it into the playoffs this season.

The replacement referees may be bad, but at least you fuckers have a season. I'm primarily a hockey fan so I'd take bad refs over a lockout 10 times out of 10. If I heard correctly you guys would have had a lockout of sorts if you hadn't brought in the replacement refs. So insult them all you want, at least you have a season.

Obvious interception? I hear that being thrown around a lot... but from both the booth reviewer (who is a retired NFL official) and the NFL themselves, they say this was a good call... NFL admits the PI was missed but thats how it is in every sport. And you are niave to believe the real officials would have made that call.

I never really got why European countries have such animosity towards American football? Is it really just over the name?

I think most European countries are indifferent towards American football and the hostility is mostly coming from the UK and Ireland where rugby plays a role. So for them it's either football (soccer) or, if it has to be a tougher sport, rugby.

what hostility, the NFL plays a pro season game here to a packed wembley in england

Doesn't change the fact that there are people who openly despise American football.

i must have misunderstood, sounded like we were being blamed for something, plenty of people hate plenty of sports around the world

looking at the picks this week,i think ravens and maybe green bay are the only ones i could think maybe right, looks like i have giants @ eagles judging by the times, its quite annoying that my paystream doesn't appear to leave any NFL form sky on anymore,i would have liked to watch chicago @dallas,probably texans too,i'll do my picks 2moro

Rol - You are mistaken. The refs wouldnt get any leverage considering its not the refs the NFL is backing up. It's the retired NFL official who was in the review booth.
