To the thread: It's impressive, although shipment numbers for only one quarter may be deceptive, as other pointed out. The impressive thing here is, that the PS2 is still on shelves. To the shipment numbers itself - is not a new PS3-model on it's way? May Sony stuff the channels with the old model or already ship the new one?

On another note: you seem to get banned for derailing the thread for a facepalm or lol. So I don't do that. Talking about games on Sony-platforms on the other hand doesn't earn you a derailment-ban. So, I bought Okami for PS2 recently, although I already own the Wii-version. I got the feeling, the PS2-version is the better one.

If I made that comment in another thread I definetly wouldve been banned. Seeing I got banned for wishing Minecraft for Vita in a Minecraft 360 thread.

I don't believe you got banned for simply wishing for a game on the Vita- it must have been in the way you phrased it, or something

Microsoft Xbox seems to be doing great and tons of profit, not sure about Ninty but they are the only company that allways do money on Console, even on gamecube. insane.

Yes, Nintendo has posted its first two losses in 30 years.   Probably to do with the price cut of 3DS last year and the development and manufacturing of Wii U consoles not yet released to market.  I have read that the 3DS is no longer being manufactured at a loss.  So that, plus the Wii U releasing later this year should put Nintendo back into profitable business.

Hey, I want to apologize for mis-interpreting this thread.  I thought it was regarding lifetime #'s, which was why I didn't see the point of including PS2 sales.  I admit to looking at the title too quickly without actually looking at the specific reference to Last quarter #'s in your post.  I was getting ready to leave work yesterday and just rattled off my quick take on it, because I had seen cross-gen lifetime #'s compared in another thread.  Now, I understand what you are saying in regards to this specific thread.  My bad.

the XBox division has lost more money than the Playstation division the last 2 quarters, though Sony & MS have other things in the division but I think its safe to say neither are making 'tons of profit'
