2013 will probably have the 3DS whopper of a Pokemon and Monster Hunter in the same year.

Being the ~3rd year, the Japanese release schedule will be the most packed it will ever be, but the Western presence can only be rectified by 1st party efforts.

I am not worried about the Vita in Japan. It will get a Monster Hunter iteration eventually...but in the West I seriously think it is dead in the water. I do not see Sony creating that system-selling hit (4.5m+) on Vita, and Western 3rd parties won't make much at all, let alone anything that can pass 800k.

I checked play-asia if they have Trails in the Sky, and it's out of stock... but they have the Collectors Edition and it's not THAT much more expensive. I might bite on my next buy.

They need something powerfull and knowing Microsoft i know they are cooking something big for next gen in Japan, they wont give up on that market since it is really big.

But...what does that have to do with JRPGs?? You said thats what the nextbox needs, thats what thisbox has now, nobody over there cared. What powerful thing could they have that will win Japan over?? Cause I have no idea

I really don't know that, not much into the series. But it's terrible that's on PSP because it looks gorgeous! I saw this on andriansang some time ago and it really impressed me:

 

They announced that the series will move to the 3DS some time ago, I really hope this is the game.

This isn't true. There's a Vita version releasing very soon as well as the other Falcom series which is also having a Vita release.

Indeed probably not going to end up as high in the end as DS did, but the lines should intertwine a couple more times at least!
