Forums - Nintendo Discussion - New Super Mario Bros U To Be Better Than New Super Mario Bros 2

I also believe this game will be better than the 3DS game, even if it won't be as addicting - I mean, DLC and challenges in NSMB2 could become quite addicting.

This is definitely THE reason to get Wii U for me. Scribblenauts also looks fantastic to play with the gamepad.

I know what your saying. When i first seen MarioU back at e3 i was like mah it looks exactly like the Wii version. But after seeing the screens thats been released lately its really become a must buy for me now.

Those screens, especially the first one, are wonderful looking! I have Murumasa, so I know a bit about nice 2D visuals. You keep mentioning Rayman as well so I think I am going to need to rent that soon.

Beat Muramasa twice and that looks better than NSMBW imho as well

I am the only one who thinks this game looks like it could be easily a Wii game?

Way to show the raw power of your new console nintendo...

its a 2d Mario, those games never show off the power of the console.  Never have and i suspect it wont, thats what 35 Mario is for

This thread is not about other games looking better then NSMBU, so can i ask you why do you keep bringing up that other 2D platformers look better then it?.

spurgeonryan said that that this game is about as good as 2d platformers can look, i disagreed and gave him examples of games that do look better. There a problem with that??

Yes,he didn't say it "better" or"the best" 2d game,he just said it as good as others so no need to bring others into this thread.

And im pretty sure that you pointed that out already without having to bring it up twice (Despite NSMBU still being in Development).

"I do not think that 2D graphics can get any better than that!"  Thats exactly what he said, so... you're all wrong. I simply said i disagree and gave him some examples of games that do look better(IMO) how can i disagree with him and then not bother giving examples??

But Muramasa didn't allow you to play 4 players at the same time, so i don't think the comparisson is right. Rayman Legends will be a pretty comparation since both will be able for that 4 players + Wii U Gamepad support gameplay.
