The issue is, the judges don't get replays. So the splash makes such a huge difference, and of course the entry times. Sync means relatively little.

And we came 5th, thank goodness it ain't 4th again...

Silver medal for Mexico!!!!
We won silver in synchronized 10m platform for both males and females.
I hope we can win some other medals at the individual dives!!!!

Yes but even in the non replay I could see they were in time, just not a great entry. Entry score should be 'execution' and shouldn't affect synchronisation but it seems to.

Anywho, I'm enjoying the archery at the moment.

Hmm, pie.

Still no medals for GB in the diving, but I'd imagine a Silver is on the cards for Daley in the single.

And the GB sailers are starting to pick up steam. Aside from that capsize, we've had dominant firsts, and close seconds today.

Anyway, onto the Gymnastics. Can the girls emulate the men's performance, or go even better?

haven't seen woman diving but what is also very important for the synchronisation rating is the gap of both when they hit the water. withh gap i mean if both have the same distance to the diving board. maybe there was a bigger gap for the gb divers compared to the chines ones between the individual persons. and i heard yesterday that this is something judges look a lot at the last years.

Another thing with the diving is distance from the board, and how close together your legs are. It sounds easy to hold your legs together, but you'd be surprised how hard it is at speed.

And Russia are dominating in the Judo! 2 Golds and a Bronze, wow! The medals table is always deceptive at this point, due to countries with certain strengths (Judo, Archery, Swimming etc.) will have more medals than others...

A few shaky moments at the start for GB's gymnasts today. But it's the hardest piece, and plenty left to go...

Also, I can't be the only one who's more impressed by the girls than the boys in Gymnastics? They seem far more flexible, agile as it were...

And finally, GB's girls will be in action in the Beach Volleyball, having won every single game they've played so far.

It's another Wimbledon Marathon Match out there on Court 1, with Tsonga playing Roanic. Currently, in the final set, 17-17...

"Historic 6th place"?!
Fuck right off!

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

6th for GB, I was hoping for 5th, but 6th is great!

Anyway, great showing from the US, and VERY disappointing from China to finish outside of the medals...
