Really don't miss the faceplate now that I have S model for almost two year.  The power brick was actually a good thing it reduced the size of the console and since overheating was one of the main reason behind the RROD with an internal power source it would have been even worse.  That being said I hope that MS next console has an internal power source and if it has a brick I hope its even smaller then the one used by current 360 models.

To be honest, i dont think things will go well for Microsoft next gen.

The reason why is because the 360 had alot of exclusives, first and third party and many coming from japan. I know thats what took me to buy one. If i had to make the choice again today, i wouldnt get a 360 and would go for PS3.

So, i will say this: We all know microsoft and their politics now. Knowing that the system will have piss poor exclusives and nothing but sequals of the same halo, gears, fable and forza, will it really be worth getting versus the exclusives Sony and Nintendo bring? Also add to that the fact that you need to pay for online play with microsoft while Sony and Nintedo offer them free. Mistakes like that are payed dearly on the videogame market. I think Microsoft is in for a rude awakening next gen.

I disagree, Microsoft has a lot of money in their pocket from this generation. I think they will be able to come up with something that the consumers will buy. Sony has no money so they gotta be careful and we already know about nintendos plan. Microsoft has the money and time to come up with something imo.

It may be you who is in for the rude awakening if Sony charges for online next gen.

Microsoft's biggest contribution to gaming could be breaking the third console curse. History is in their hands.

The PS3 started out slow but its still a sucess especially when compared to the N64 and Sega Saturn.   As long as MS can avoid another RROD fiasco their next system is pretty much guranteed to sell more then the 360.

Not a succes in financial terms, which is what the third console curse entails. 

When it comes to finacil success in video games no one can come close to Nintendo the only system they really lost money on was the Virtual Boy.  Aslo they are geniuses when it comes to marketing which is a large part of their success.
