Ports aren't an bad thing Chandler you just have trolls running around making it sound like a bad thing to bash the WiiU at all cost. Instead of calling them multiplats, they'll rather call them ports to make them sound bad. Hell 1 of the games haven't even been released(Assissin) but it's still considered an port and the source I believe failed to mention another exclusive which is Sports Connection. I'm pretty sure that's Ubisoft and exclusive so the source may just be trolling. I highly doubt Ubisoft would call there own games ports instead of multiplats.

Everyone uses the word 'port' as if it's a bad thing. Quite the opposite. The Wii was castigated because it didn't get a SKU of the big multiplatform titles, and now we're getting them people are still complaining. ZombiU, Aliens Colonial Marines and perhaps Assassin's Creed 3 and Darksiders 2 will all do well in terms of sales, the first two I've listed will even be system sellers. Mass Effect 3 and Arkham City won't fare so well imo due to being released so far away from the other SKUs.

And that's going to be a good thing - it's going to show publishers that people are willing to pay good money for recent multiplatform titles but releasing a half-arsed year old port isn't the way to earn money from U development.

well they have to make the game and then port it and as long as the ports aren't games that have already been out for a year or two then whats the problem? Ass creed isn't even out yet so i don't see a problem with that port. ghost recon is out i guess but what about the other games? which are they?

They would call them ports. Even the PS3 SKU will be called a port by Ubisoft. That's the way the industry works, you get a lead platform (usually the 360) and the code is ported to the PS3, PC and the Wii U. Lol, developers don't even change the 360 button prompts until the latter parts of the Alpha stage so you end up testing a game on the PC or PS3 with 360 button prompts...really weird the first time you see it. I worked in the industry for 4 years as a tester until I unfortunately became too ill to continue working.

Rayman Legends and ZombiU are must buy

Assassin's Creed III maybe Wii U version, but maybe one of the other consoles I already have. It will kind of depend for me on the online feature support and community stuff and which of my friends will be getting the game and on which console. For games with online component, since there is no cross-play between consoles... the choice basically comes down to friend circle and my online game playing buddies are concentrated on PS3.

Depends on how they are done. But not really confident on ubisoft here.

Would you rather not have them and repeat the Wii's situation where it had no support?

@snowdog but that's the thing, we don't have any confirmation it was done that way and that could just mean it's easier to make 360 games and port over, they are still released at the same time with the same content. How they make the game is irrelevant.

pff yeah loads of "Gamers" dont like their ex-exclusive games from another console away from their home console.

i think porting is great, the industry doesnt have to rim our wallet so much for too much exclusivity.

tekken tag 2 in wii u is just divine...

its not, its just one guy complaning and he is in the super minority. He might not have been paying attention but the days of 3rd party exclusives, at least on consoles are pretty much going away and hoorah for that. Hell even that Rayman game is just a timed exclusive.
