I think my problem was that I had to buy every single game I was remotely interested in. I was buying ten games a month at some points. Hell, probably many points! There's hardly anything I want on the horizon for the next several months so I think I'm good. This is a good time for me to do some catching up.
I do want to buy Castlevania Lords of Shadow, though. But I don't feel like I NEED to buy it like I did with a lot of other games.

I think that is the problem though, we wanna try these games, we have the money to buy them, but we don't actually have the time nor the drive to play them. Plus as you said before we like to replay games, hell I played Final Fantasy X-2 3 times because I wanted to. Now I want to platinum Final Fantasy XIII-2, but I haven't had the drive, nor do I even wanna replay it, when back in the day I'd have beaten it 3 times already. The other problem to I think, is impulse buy, how many times have we bought something on impulse just cause it was 10 bucks? I have Bionic Commando still sealed in its case, cause I bought it for 10 bucks. Why did I waste that 10 bucks? Hell even now I'm home from work and the most I've managed to play was 2 hours of Dragon Age: Origin.
