Forums - Gaming - I have to many unplayed games? Can't play them because there is to much to chose from

I bought a ton of games over the years and most of them were totally cheap   like 5-20 bucks.

A while back I had no time to play games because there were more important things in my life but i kept buying them because I wanted to get sure I have them (some get really reare and prices explode etc so i get sure i get them for cheap when i can)

Now I have time to play  but the problem I have is that I have so many games  like  around 50 Wii games 50 PS3 games 50 360 games    40 DS games etc.
That I don't know where to start.

And I even have alot of  unfinished PS2 and Gamecube games.

Everytime I start a game  i lose interest because  there is so much other stuff around  and when I try to play something else  I get bored again and try to play something else......   For example I start a role playing game on DS  but the tutorial is so boring I stop playing the game (even if its a great game etc)  or if I play a game for a few hours I stop  and 2 months later I dunno what happened and have no motivation to keep playing etc.

I dunno what to do lol.

I understand that feeling but not on the scale you described. I have tried multiple times to play Paper Mario TTYD, Valkyria Chronicles, and deus ex, but everytime I start, I give up shortly after to play multiplayer games. I think it's just game fatigue though.

Well, you could just close your eyes and randomly pick one. But you're probably just not in the mood for video games if there aren't any that stand out to you. Do something else for a while and wait until your body is ready for video games. I know what it feels like, after you impulse buy or buy a lot of games at once you feel like you need to play them right away to justify the purchase, but don't worry, you've got all the time in the world.

You have to at least finish Paper Mario!

Everyone I know with lots of games (including myself) has the same exact problem.
If it wasn't for these dry months I wouldn't have even touched Saints Row The Third and Gears of War 3 even though I own them since last year and they are also my favourites games of that year.

Well, you can always sell the games that you don't like to leave room for the better ones.

Seriously, I don't know why a lot of people do this. I always buy one game at a time and finish it (unless it's Skyrim-like, in which case I play till I get bored and wait till I pick up interest again). Problem solved.

Buy realistically next time.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I have similar problem, it's not as severe, but I've decided to just play one or two games at a time, because trying to play them all was too overwhelming. If i get too bored playing a game, i will play a different game for a bit and then come back to it in a day or two. Lately I've been swapping between Assassins Creed 2 and Uncharted 3. I finished Uncharted 3 yesterday, and I've been working on Assassins Creed 2 for about a week and a half. After I finish Ass Creed 2, I'm not sure whether I should start Brotherhood or play a different game. I was thining that I might start Just Cause 2. After that I think I'll play 40K Space Marines (thanks PS+ for the free games lol). After that I will start Brotherhood. If I can do all that before August 19, I'd be pretty happy.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

What if you have alot of games thats skyrim like including morrowind and oblivion to finish and still also didnt finish skyrim. and then you add alot of JRPG's and other WRPGs from the 80's right up to today and then and well yes im fucked :( .

Then you have made a big mistake, my friend I would simply force myself to complete each series (or at least their main quests) in order, and followed by each other until I jump to another franchise. Of course, there is the possibility of getting bored with the entire genre altogether which is why I DON'T GET MYSELF INTO THAT SITUATION IN THE FIRST PLACE!
