I honestly forgot that I am playing Spider Man O_o; , they're soooo similar.

So, that would mean spider-man is worth getting?

it is , a pretty solid game, don't let the Activision logo scare you off, its better than Web Of Shadows and the other ones recently.

I haven't really played any spider-man games since gamecube but I would like one. I usually don't give movie-tied-games the benefit of the doubt so I've been holding off till a really good one came out. Though, I did watch some gameplay videos for this and it did look decent. 

I'll never understand why developers think its cool to cast the camera slightly to the right/left instead of centering it behind the character. It really irks me!

Is the plot in this game canonical?

Nah.  It follows up the movie but I'm 99.9999% positive that NOTHING in this game will even be mentioned in the next Spider-Man movie.  It takes a lot of liberties with everything.  It's its own story, pretty much.

I'm torn with this game.

• I was hyped when I bought the game because some guy said it would be better than Arkham CIty (and it isn't even close)
• Then, I was EXTREMELY disapointed when I saw the game in person (looks better than it really is on youtube)
• Then I was really impressed with the feeling of swinging around New York
• Then I was blown away by the boss fight with the Spider-Slayers
• Then the game just started doing the same things over and over again--car chases, muggings, carrying people to the hospital, that same awesome boss fight--everything started awesome and then became repetitive to the point of bein a chore.
• Black Cat's stage was cool
• I've been to the sewer so many times in this game that I feel dirty.
• I'm on the last stage and I just want it to end
• The story was okay.

Sorry, still not gonna buy it. Never played a Dues Ex game either. Are they really that good? The first one was like 2002 or something. Couldn't have been THAT good could it?
