Forums - General - So I'm taking steroids again

Firstly you need to read some more. Anyone who told you that ANYTHING can produce permanent muscle mass is full of shit and should be ignored, muscles must be maintained or they will shrink over time. What is the point of steroid induced muscles apart from vanity? if you are so concerned about your looks then you really should do some more exercise or weight training, steroid induced muscles to hide poor health is really doing just that, hiding the problem.

I'd be interested in knowing how much time you spend working out in conjunction with taking this stuff? You mention you think you might gain between 4-5 pounds of muscle, over what time period do you expect these gains? How long does a cycle last and are there any effects after you stop taking it for the subsequent days/weeks that follow?

Sorry for all the questions, I've no real interest in taking the stuff, but it's a very interesting topic.

I'm not working out now at all, and have already gained about 3 pounds now and have just two weeks left in my month long cycle, also, I'm about to start doi g aerobics if anything which will slow down or negate increases in muscle but don't currently work out.  Also, mgf works for a few months after you take it, bc it makes new muscle cells as opposed to roids or working out which makes me bigger.  They need time to mature, and so you have some gains down the road so to speak...

These things are illegal because most people can't control it, they end up taking too much and too often. But if you just take it a couple of times in your life just to get fit for the beach there is no harm at all (well, if you're the aggressive type of personality you probably should avoid steroids entirely because you might end up beating up your GF).

I have to concur with others, if bulking up is what you wanted, then protein shakes and working out would have done it for you. Not only that, but in the time you take to cycle, you could have easily put on well earned muscle, helped your cardiovascular system, and taught yourself discipline that would help you continue keeping that muscle mass.

Instead, you're taking the easy way out. Like an overweight person on the latest fad diet, you're going to go through cycles of ups and downs, and after each down, you're going to try more of whatever the latest fad is to help you build muscle until ultimately you do damage you can't undo.

I don't know how old you are and I don't know how skinny you are, but building muscle and tone naturally isn't that difficult. Yes, it's painful to build muscle, but it isn't painful to maintain it. You could easily improve your muscle content with three weight routines for your biceps, pecs, and thighs, and two exercise routines for your abs and gluts (butt). 1 hour, three times a week.

Ive worked out a lot so far, don't have time for doing that now, as im working 60 hours a week anyway. When the fall semester starts I'll probably join the local powerlifting gym.

Also, there have been a few comments as to whether or not this is permanent muscle. I guess that they are correct in that nothing is permanent and that eventually I will die and turn into worm food. Having said that, roids only last a couple of months and then the added muscle wears off as you go off the cycle. The muscle from hgh and peptides don't wear off due to the effects of not taking the drug. So if diet, whether you train or not, illness, weren't a factor, it would seem to be permanent or at least many times longer lasting.

Not to mention that they provide an unfair advantage in competitions.
