Forums - PC - VGChartz PC Deals Thread - Guild Wars 2 $10 US this weekend (75% off)

Here's my list...

LucasArts Jedi Knight Bundle (5 games): $11.99
Star Wars: Republic Commando: $5.99
Trine Bundle (2 games): $4.99
Skyrim: $29.79
Fable III Collection (2 games): $12.49
Portal 2: $4.99
Oblivion GOTY: $4.99

Total: $75.23 for 13 games. Considering I usually spend about $65 for a new console game (with tax), this was pretty darn good. It would have been a lot cheaper had I not gotten Skyrim too, but I've been wanting to get that for a while now and I decided I didn't want to wait any longer.

Question, does anyone know why Mass Effect 3 is not in Steam? Is it because of Origin? :O?

Exactly, same reason Battlefield 3 etc is also not on it.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ;(

Looks like I'll be getting the Mass Effect series on Xbox360 when I get one l0l.

You know you can still buy the physical copy, right? After all, the first 2 are 10 € each, and the third one will follow the same route with time.

The only problem are the DLCs.

I have yet to buy a physical copy of a PC game o.O.

Hmmm, wouldnt there be problems though like limitations on installations and such (i.e. Keys to play?)

AFAIK even the retail versions of Mass Effect 3 and Battlefield 3 require Origin so it won't really matter if you buy physical or digital, you'll still have to use Origin.

oops wrong thread

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I opened GTA 4 for the first time since I bought it, it installed some first time stuff, and then it opens and then stops, and I get this message:

GTA IV FATAL ERROR: Windows Vista: Need to have Service Pack 1 or higher to proceed.

It won't let me play! The thing is, I don't have Vista, I have Windows 7, so I don't really know what the problem is. Help?

1. Right click your steam shortcut.
2. Click on properties.
3. Choose the compatibility tab.
4. Make sure the compatibility mode box is NOT checked.
5. Restart Steam

Thanks, that fixed it!

Me and my dumb computer skills

Since when?!

I got both of them long before Origin was launched so I don't know if that has changed.

I do remember having to create a Bioware account when I played the 1st and an EA account for the second (which, btw doesn't recognize me anymore, yet I can still play the game)

Please excuse my bad English.

Battlefield 3 is famous for requiring Origin, and I'm pretty sure ME3 requires it too. The first two ME games don't, that's true, but I think the third one does.

I know there's 26 titles or so, but I was expecting more ;p

T.T I hope a Final Fantasy game is announced (that isnt a XI or XIV expansion).

The list isn't exactly comprehencive, they are pretty slack updating it

Would anyone object to me making this thread a "Steam Sale" thread and update it with mid-week, daily and weekend deals?

Of course I'd rebrand it with the holiday and summer sales.

Sounds like a great idea to me, if you are up to it.
