Yep. Some kind of a steam "virus" or something where a friend sent me a link (automatically) which I clicked on and then it automatically cleaned out my inventory and sent it to another account and also sent the same link from me to all of my friends.

If you want to clear your backout relatively fast I'd play Transistor first out of those since it's very short (but great). FEZ is also quite short.

Same happened to me and fellow VGC members pezus, pearljammer and yenny (don't know his VGC nickname). I got it from yenny. It was a script (.scr) disguised as .png. Stole the whole inventory. At least two other VGC members laughed at me because I clicked on it and sent it unvoluntarily and automatically two all my 70+ Steam friends. People think they found the originator of that script (BaDToY, http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198102265676 ), but I doubt Valve really cares. Their support wrote me I should be careful in the future... Yeah, thanks.

Yea sorry about that, It automatically sent to all my freinds list aswell. after I clicked on it. Does anyone know if it was a virus or just an inventory stealer.
I suppose I was a bit naieve for clicking on it but I thought it was just a picture

No problem. Me and the other affected were just as naive as you. I don't know if it did more than just stealijg our inventories. I hope not.

That really sucks.
I got the "screenshot" from 4 (I think) different friends but when I tried to open it my antivirus stepped in and nothing happened to me. Phew!
But it's worrysome that something like this happens and that Valve doesn't do anything.

They could probably easily remove the items from this guy BaDToY's inventory but for some reason they don't. He has thousands of stolen items.

Maybe (wishful thinking) they are waiting to know how he did it and fix whatever hole he used before taking any actions, just in case he tries to do more damage when Valve finally goes after him.
