All right. After Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and Lone Survivor, I bought Amnesia: The Dark Descent. I only played 20 minutes so far but the atmsophere is creepy.

Borderlands is pretty cool, linear but cool. I love the claptrap

So I downloaded the Amnesia demo, and it's wasn't really too scary until I got to the part after you go in the cellar, when you are walking in the water and there is something in the water that wants to kill you, and you have to jump from box to box. That freaked the hell out of me! It was too scary and so i minimized the game for a few minutes, then I tried to open it back up and it crashed D:

Trust me when I say this game will make you shit your pants. It got so fucking tense when I played it that I would quit and take a counter-strike break to cool my nerves then jump back in. Hahaha! The atmosphere is laden with the thick sense of dread. You never feel safe, and you never know what is around the corner. I think the game got less scary about halfway or more through because by that point you just understand how the monsters work, you get the mechanics of the game, and know how to avoid them. At least I did.

I beat the game and NEVER, NOT ONCE, did I come face to face with a monster. Yes, it would be behind a door, or walk from around a corner, which made me immediately turn my lantern off and run for the nearest safe spot (i.e. dark corner where you start going insane). I got killed 3 times, in the whole game, but that is because the monster followed me to my hiding spot, but I was too afraid to turn around and look, hahaha so i would just crouch there staring at the wall while something is beating me to death from behind. Hahaha! But even then, the game NEVER lets go of its tension, its nightmarish atmosphere. So good!

I highly recommend this game. Pick it up for cheap during the sales, I don't think you will regret it.

Shit i got this game, its late atm i was thinking of turning off the lights up with the volume and playing. but after reading that i now no longer want to do that xD

Bwahaha! my bad man, i was trying to sell the game to the guy, i then re-read what i wrote and realized why someone would be turned off by the idea of playing! hahahaha!

Now an owner of the entire S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series! From the footage I've seen of all three, Shadow of Chernobyl seems like the one I'll mostly like (kind of has a weird mix of F.E.A.R. and the original Far Cry, to me).

I need your words VGC, was it worth it to pick these up?

The games are amazing in many ways, but be sure you get the Complete mods. They fix a lot of bugs and add features that the devs cut before release and some general improvements. But it also attempts to stick as close as possible to the developers vision so doesn't make any major changes to gameplay and atmosphere etc.

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

Man ArmA II has been in the top 5 all sale, Valve should just have ArmA II 75% off on sale for the last day. It would probably sell 500k+ copies in 24h lol

I know i still think its shocking it didnt atleast have a 50% off sale by now. Its making me think that the game is selling so well at 20% off that they might not drop it anymore?

probably milking it for as long as possible lol

Shadow of Chernobyl was a really fun game. I enjoyed it a lot. I haven't played the others yet but I plan to.

I really want to get Amnesia but if you saw my Dead Space thread, you know how much of a puss I am.
Ive been playing the demo and currently I'm still at the part in the cellar with the water and the fish or whatever it is that wants me dead (probably would have gotten farther but Batman Marathon). I just get so sucked into the game and all the scary stuff freaks me out so much. It's funny to look back on it but during the game I get so scared that I have to stop playing. I want to play horror games but I'm too much of a wuss.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
