See, why they don't do this stateside is beyond me. It's a no-brainer. |
It's because of Reggie! He's a horrible man!

Around november we can begin the hype, too far away now. But my bet is the revival of Legends 3, among other things.
3G coming Spring 2013 while Japan gets MH4. Testing the waters for the 4 western release next year.

That would be pretty nice, especially if they didn't try too hard because the original X titles were great.
Monster Hunter developed by a western developer? Ninja Theory, Spark Unlimited or Blue Castle lol XD
| happydolphin said: ^Vic, what about a whole new westernized version of the game though? Remember how capcom's been trying to capture the Western audience with MH using MHTri? Well that worked but not super well. Maybe their going more aggressive? Just my first thought when I read this. |
I hope it would be specifically westernized, and its not outside the realm of possibility, since they did it with Tatsunoko vs Capcom which is a somewhat lower-profile series.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
MH Portable 3rd (HD or not) is out of question. News are only forMH3G or MH4 now.
"As I said on one of the Ask Capcom streams a few months ago, with regard to Portable 3rd, we were planning to bring over as Portable 3rd HD and those plans had been in the works for a very long time. Unfortunately because the changes needed to Adhoc Party on PS3 weren't going to happen in the US and Europe, we had to scrap that plan in the end. Trust me when I tell you, no one is more disappointed than I am on that front. "

The rest of Sven post:
"In response to folks who are claiming we only "market" HD titles elsewhere in this thread (where often "marketing" is confused as TV campaigns and everything else is ignored), we had significant television and online buys backing MH Freedom Unite on PSP (how many PSP titles had a TV campaign, even first party?) and our largest Wii TV campaign on Monster Hunter Tri (larger than several multiplatform HD project campaigns we've run) and a number of MH "university" and other community/media outreach programs to teach people about the franchise. There's been no shortage of marketing effort on our fronts. As I've stated many times, growing MH in the West is a strategic initiative for us. Admittedly, the timings of things haven't always worked out exactly as we'd hoped but all will become clear soon enough.
As I've said before, there is method to the madness"
How this game became such a complicated matter to translate! It's surreal! It's just a game like any other

Bold kind of seems like he's hinting at a global launch for an upcoming MH game (MH4 probs).
