Forums - Microsoft - Update: Halo 2 Anniversary not in Development "At This Time"

CVG

The studio's known to currently be finishing off work on Halo 4 ahead of the game's November release, but it's also at work on a secret - if not totally unexpected - project, according to the rumours page of the latest issue of OXM UK.

"Following the success of remake Halo Anniversary, 343 Industries has now started development of Halo 2 Anniversary," the magazine claims.

We said in our Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary review: "Remember when you learned which Elites needed killing first and how the Grunts would scatter when you dropped their leader? Remember when you jumped into the Campaign with a friend and rolled around the world in the same Warthog? Those moments were all brand new back in 2001 - and those moments hold up even now, even in the weakest levels."

Give it to me!

This would be good, since I never played Halo2.

Well... Following my Halo CE Anniversary purchase, I might actually skip this one. Especially if there only is a campaign mode and no re-introduction of its multiplayer. Neither terminals nor visuals are enough to justify buying it thanks to youtube.

Only single player? That'd be a shame. Halo 2 had my least favorite campaign in the series, there were so many parts where I was bored to shit. The multiplayer on the other hand was absolutely superb. Oh well, if it actually does be remade I'll probably end up buying it anyways.

I agree, I didn't enjoy halo 2's campaign lol, halo 3's was deff a step up from 2.

This would be good for people who missed out on it. I still got the original so I am still good :P.

Why skip this one? Didn't you like Halo CE Anniversary?

And what do you mean by "thanks to Youtube"?

i expected this to be honest, it seems microsoft want to make halo an annual thing (and milk the franchise to death as well)

If a piece of shit had the halo logo on it I would still buy it
