It's just a week delay in Japan doubt they'd blow a firm date for a week's worth of polish. More likely they're worried the network won't handle the load of online and they need to increase and stress test it. NA would logically require more time for that than Japan.

oooh! Hell yeah.
Part of what they're adding to it is a download option that will let you play a trial demo version of Smash Bros DS. Even better is that the DS demo version will allow wifi play as well. However will be limited to Mario, Link, Samus, and Pikachu.
