So that is basically 459 dollars for 2 years after a purchase. (Although I just read the XBL Gold part).

I guess its a good deal if you use XBL Gold , but if you dont plan to do so (like me), its a bad deal.

I think I'll wait for the price cut that will eventually happen, I can wait a year or two no worries since my PS3 will keep me company in the mean time ;p

I'm kind of curious (Not that I mind obviously), but why do you desire to have a 360? Certain exclusives, or?

This could be confirmation that there will be no price cut for the 360 for another 2 years or so. If MS cuts price for the holidays then everyone who is on contract is still having to pay $14.99/month ($300) for a system that is now selling at $199. Basically if MS cuts the price then whoever bought the console (on contract pre-price-cut) is paying twice as much. Stay away from this scam people. Save up and buy instead.

Edit - Since people don't like the word scam being used then I will instead use the word 'Illusion'.

I wouldnt say confirmation but it tells us that MS is ready to hold off the price cut if this deal takes off..

Yay!!!

Many people dont see that this mirrors that of buying a house......you pay more with a downpayment then you do when you pay for the whole thing upfront.

A downpayment now and paying off later costs more in the end because of interest.

So offcourse many people here dont see this as a deal. Because its not meant for them, as we are too used to buying consoles upfront.

This deal is meant for lower income families. They would end up paying more in the end, but the payment plan is done so that instalments are affordable to them.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Tales of Vesperia
Lost Odyssey
Blue Dragon
Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts
Dead or Alive 4
Dead Rising
Fable 2
Halo Series
Gears of War Series
Infinite Undiscovery
Kameo Elements of Power
Magna Cart 2
Perfect Dark Zero
Saints Row
Forza 4 (unless I get the latest one)

Exclusives pretty much ;p

Good list of games, I think you should enjoy all of those.

I would "advice" you to not buy Fable 2 though, for the simple reason that the series has been in serious decline since, so unless you intend to enjoy it as a stand-alone experience, you may wish to put that on the "someday when it's 5 bucks" list.

I must admit, I still have to play Lost Oddesey myself :/ Might have to order it tomorrow. :P

When you make a downpayment on a house, the real estate agent isn't telling you that the house costs the downpayment price.

The problem here isn't the contract. It's the asterisk. They aren't saying "Buy an Xbox 360 for $99 upfront plus $15 a month for 24 months", they're saying "Buy an Xbox 360 for $99*".

*_* Do you like RPGs? If you do, you'll love it! (Lost Odyssey I mean ;p)

*orders game*

Yes I do, I just have very little time to play games at the moment, let alone a RPG I do love them though.

I personally think that the subscription deal is something that would work on a new consoles release to take off the heavy price tag from non-enthusiasts of that console. As for releasing it now, it shows nothing but a blatant regard to attempt to rip off consumers yet again. MicroSoft doesn't impress me at all with their professional ethics. Their console is worth $100, yet agrogance determines a high market price.

PS: Kinect is stupid. Move is stupid. The Wii is stupid, and U are too!

What's wrong with Fable 2? I could see waiting for Fable 3 to go down in price, but Fable 2 was great imo, even with the few draw backs it had. Fable 2 is already pretty cheap at the moment, you can get the GOTY edition for $20 at GS.
