AndrewWK said: He is right Nintendo fans are weird. Nintendo had a decent press conference and showed a lo things Nintendo fans care about. But you have to understand, they can´t show new IP´s when they are not developing ones. Altough it was a stupid move not to reveal the Wii U specs at least. Bu maybe they are no confident enough with this product. |
I don't think specs are the problem honestly. The WiiU is clearly capable of games like TLoU and Beyond, it is more powerful than a PS3.
Question is, where were those games to show the gamer crowd at large? Nowhere.

I'm not sure about that. It seems to be as powerful as the PS360. Assassin's Creed 3 and Arkham City don't look any better honestly.

Those are both ports of games that already look stellar on the current consoles... and ports that were very easily up and running on WiiU very quickly to boot, according to devs.
To put it in perspective, look at the difference between launch games on the 360 (such as Perfect Dark Zero) and Gears of War just a year later. It's practically night and day. Based on the rumored specs (R700 GPU, 1.5 gigs of RAM) and the confirmed CPU (POWER7) WiiU is certainly more powerful than the current HD consoles.
