Nah, he said it wouldn't be violent. He ultimately meant a first person experience after his creative style.

Well, in my opinion the violence of Metroid Prime is sufficient. No need to go beyond that :P

Exactly what I thought, considering how Miyamoto basically demanded Retro to make it in the first place.

Correction they can never satisfy Sony and MS fans who thinks "hardcore" games needs blood an violence with top edge graphics with 5 hour campains.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing

Hehe, and I agree :) But about Miyamoto's IP you were talkin about, he said he wanted to focus on exploration rather than violence. It doesn't bar out violence, but it doesn't make it very likely either, at least we know for sure that won't be the accent of the game. ;)
“I actually do kind of want to make a first-person shooter, but I don’t have time. Rather than necessarily the question of ‘What kind of weapon do I have?’ in a first person shooter or ‘What kind of effect does that have on an enemy?’, I think that the structure of a first-person shooter is something that’s very interesting. Having that 3D space that in theory you are in and being able to look around and explore that—particularly being able to do that in conjunction with another person—is very interesting.”
I get your point with the Wii U specs, and that makes sense after all. You don't release a console to appeal to the hardcore market with the same specs of the previous gen.
But I'm getting off topic now.

This is true of everybody really. We'll always want to know more because even when they announce a truckload of games, there'll be one or two development teams just starting a project that we don't know about yet.

It's not just that. Keep in mind they can't just saturate their market with the same IP over and over. What they would need to do to satisfy you would be to create a new IP to fulfill that taste you have, without milking or squeezing all the juice out of Mario. |
I don't believe in "IP". If the audiences for 3D Mario and 2D Mario are different, they are different business considerations.
People don't buy games because their favourite character is in them. If one pasted Mario characters over Ratchet and Clank it wouldn't sell like 3D Mario.

Sony and MS FANBOYS that is. And yes, there is a difference. The main one is that fanboys are sutpid as shit. Oh well.

I dont know what you mean by real, but Nintendo already has created or published some Rpgs this gen, all of them high quality and "real". The market is already saturated with FPS, we dont need more...maybe as a publisher... |
All of them High quality, the only high quality RPG Nintendo has made that I know off is Xenoblade. And the market might full of TPS and FPS games but Nintendo has none of them. These genre sell and they are a lot fun if made good.
