Forums - Nintendo - Best Buy hinted WIi U at $299

Somebody at GameFaqs brought up a good point on Wii U pricing. If you visit Best Buy, Wii U has no price; however, if you click on "Get 4% Back in Rewards: See How" it'll redirect you to a page that'll show you will receive 2 points for every $1 spent. with that in mind, Best Buy listed you can earn 598 Rewards Zone Points by purchasing Wii U.

That's US$299.99!

$299 is definitely what I'm hoping for, although I will go up to $349. Any higher though... and I'll wait it out.

Here's hoping. They did say that the Wii U's price would be a "pleasant surprise"

That pleasant surprise could mean Wii U could be priced at $250.00

Damn it, Nintendo. They make my hair recede, I swear.

If it has a decent launch lineup and cost 299$ which would be something about 249,99€ then I´ll get in the first month

250 or 299 and i get my prediction right :O

I wouldnt believe it to be honest, this is the same retail which had Nintendo games and certain other unreleased titles previously for 99.99 before they were released.

Yeah, Amazon has 1st party WiiU games currently listed at $99 too.

Still, I think WiiU will retail for $299.

Gamestop had all wiiu games priced at 100 USD too. You have to remember that if anything, the retailer will price it very high initially so that if someone preorders, they can easily refund the adjusted amount whereas if it were lower than the selling price, I guess people would have grounds to be angry at them for making them think they were getting it at that price. This makes me think the price (which coincidently is the price I, along with many others believe it to be) is real. Mark my words.

Those are just place holders... remember the PSVita being listed for $999.99??

Fact:  Wii U will be $299.99, come packed in with Nintendo Land unless they have some other built-in software that they haven't showed yet, and most launch games will be $59.99... with the possible exception of casual games like Just Dance, but I wouldn't put it past either Nintendo or 3rd parties to put those games at $60 too for launch.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
