Should i buy a new one or just pile up games on my PS3? Also since it is widely believed that the 360 successor is coming next year should this constitute waiting for the next console? Also one final point I need Halo 4 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd get a new one just for Halo 4, but I'm not going to recommend or not recommend it, it's up to you and if you think it's worth it.

Actually neither. Turn your 360 upside down & turn it on. It should work. A common problem with 360's is their internal combustion fasciliators get reversed, so reverse the 360 to fix the problem.

Try to see if you can get a cheap Jasper unit instead of a brand new slim. Stick your hard drive in that and you're good to go.

I get a new one but since you only want one for Halo 4 I would wait for a Halo 4 bundle which is guaranteed to come out around launch time.
