Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Working on successor of 3DS no Revision being made

Deny Deny Deny.
That's what Nintendo is doing. They can't pre-maturely announce a new 3DS model and risk horrible sales for a few weeks while people wait for the new model. It's why Apple announces stuff and releasing like the next day. It's the best strategy.

i don't think so tbh.
he isn't just going to say yes a smaller/slimmer one is coming..
although i wouldbt be surprised if the Game Boy is up next after the 3DS.

hmm, that american purple 3DS is now more appealing.

My thoughts exactly. I was holding out for the redesign, but if it's not coming, guess I'll go with the purple model and maybe a battery pack.

Can't wait for Sony's 8 screen, 4 thumb stick monstrosity.

Hahaha. Thanks for that.

Imagine how stupid it would be to confirm a 3DS revision at this point.

i would love a new Nintendo handheld slightly more powerful than the Vita, WITH a bigger 3D screen, at this point would be stupid to not include 3D, and the new shit they could come up with...
not happening
a redesign must come, although i partly agree with the fact that the 3DS has an excelent design and has little room for improvement

Second Analog Stick or not, I just want a system where the screens don't touch. If they are talking about it now, I expect a 3DS redsign by fall 2013 at latest. Just in time for Fire Emblem.

The difference is Apple has never denied that a new model of anything they've produced was set for future release; they simply don't list the specifications or designs, which is their business call to make. Anyone remotely familiar with Apple product release cycles can essentially predict when the next update for any product they intend to buy is most likely to be released. Intentional inventory shortages signify when a particular model is being phased out or soon to be replaced with an update.

While I'm not going to say this will necessarily come back to bite Nintendo on the ass if and when they do release a redesigned 3DS, a better response probably would have been to say it's not policy to comment on unannounced products in development for future release.

they aren't going to release the next handheld anytime soon.
First things first, we need a new 3DS redesign with another circle pad on the right side at the least.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Again LOL at this: Nintendo starts to develop the next console always when they finish the previous one.

You know they have a thing called like: Reserch & Development Team.
Stop being silly please.

There is no way on God's green earth that Nintendo is not going to make an upgraded 3DS. It is going to happen! Hopefully it hits Christmas 2012.

No way in hell is there even a slight chance of that happening in 2012 with the launch of the Wii U.

A revision might come, but it wont come until sales slow down, wich might very well only be just in 2014.
