Which console you think will be the "most" powerful

Wii U 39 11.30%

PS4 171 49.57%

according to VGC, PS3 has outsold 360 in 4 out of the last 5 years.

Now if they're launched at the same time, I think PS4 wins.

Sony has built up a nice stable of IPs (GOW, Uncharted, GT, LBP, KZ, InFamous, Last of Us) and will surely have some new ones ready for next gen as well.

completely missed the point.

OT: Likely quite a bit better than WiiU. Hard to say which one will be more powerful. If they launch at the same time, I'm certain the 720 will be more powerful.

Powerful* enough that a casual observer will be able to easily tell that games on it are not possible on the PS3/X360. There is no point releasing the PS4/Next Box until they can do this without breaking the bank. Which is why this gen has dragged on as long as it has.

* Note this doesn't really have to be technical proficiancy if they can deliver something else that can redefine how games are played, as shown by motion controls on the Wii. But the only thing I can think of (a true brain machine interface) would likely require a lot of CPU power anyway.

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

I'd say Wii U is about equivalent to a mid-end PC of last year. I'd say Xbox 3 and PS4 will be equivalent to a high-end PC of this year. With optimization all three consoles should pull off stuff we'll see in a year or two on PCs, at the end of their life-spans. Overall, this is enough power for Wii U to JUST stay competitive with PS4/Xbox 3 to receive ports while still maintaining its price-point. If there is a significant difference between PS4 and Xbox 3, I'd think Xbox 3 would be the technically superior of the two, based off consistent history.

and this means what? really people, what do *you* have when your console leads charts? right, nothing. i just don't get it why all this "haha, i am greater/bigger/better/$fillin_bs than you because i bought the console that leads the chartz!!"-crap is going on.

any of us should be happy that sony does *not* lead the market so there is a competition going on which is always better than one company dominating the market.

in my opinion some forum-trolls should get back to what we all wanna do: gaming! play games and be happy about it. why arguing who is first? why telling people "hey, my games are better/look better than yours"? just play your games and be happy with it...

I think it'll be like this:

720-2.4x the power of this gen
PS4-2.1x the power of the current generation
WiiU-2x the power we currently have.

Anyone expecting massive uplifts over this gen are kidding themselves. All the consoles will have roughly the same power, and will all cost roughly the same.

I will be honest with you guys; I am afraid.

I fear that these upcoming systems will be more powerful than any of us could possibly imagine
I fear that the world as we know it, may change forever
I fear that this massive amount of power may fall into the wrong hands, but most of all:
I fear that those hands may belong to hardcore gamers

The world is not prepared for this, but I know that at least I am, and I am sure that at least some of you are prepared as well.

Gentlemen, the graphic whores already outnumber us and it will only get worse in the near future. Consider this our final stand, where we stand up for what was once a world of gaming embraced by gameplay, rather than lag and realism.

We will prevail, or die trying.  SUPPORT THE WII U!!!

You neglected to mention the single most important thing; the death of proper indie gaming. Too many studios have shut down the past few years due to obseen development costs, and when Team Bondi have to close down when their game sells several million units because it hasn't made money, you know there's an issue.

Expect to see FPS' and racing games through UE4 being 95% of the library releasing in 4-5 years.

I'm sorry, Captain Serious.

I will be happy if the PS4 is at least able to do the Agni´s Philosophy Tech demo of the Luminous Engine.

Based on rumors in my comparison thread it should probably be

neXtBox>PS4>WiiU. I'm just hoping WiiU is close enough to have 3rd party content.

I'm also betting on neXtBox/PS4 being sub$400 at launch.
