PS4 is Launching whenever xbox720 is launching.... and that's 2013.

 

Trust me, I know SONY would love to hold off as long as possible. They would probably wait until 2015 if they could. But the fact that the new Xbox is coming out next year FORCES Sony to come out with PS4 the same year.

 

They dont want to be late to the party again. They admitted that themselves. 


You may know Sony, but I really know Sony. I have some insider information and they have a few tricks up their sleeves in this coming months. PS4 is launching in 2014 or later, guaranteed. @ Superchunk, you sure you want TWO marks of failure on your signature?

I personally just want to see a Ratchet and Clank/Jak/Sly game on the system, LittleBigPlanet would be awesome for launch, but will probably only come out a couple years after the PS4 launch's.

I'm hoping Resistance comes over too, I love the universe loads :)

Then I'm sure GoW 4, LBPKarting 2, PSAS2, GT6 and Infamous 3 will be released eventually :)

I'm fairly confident that the PS4 is gonna launch with - or at least have very close to launch - Killzone 4 and Gran Turismo 6. One of them a huge IP, the other a relatively big IP. Gran Turismo will help to shift consoles, Killzone will see biggest ever sales thanks to being a launch title.  And that's exactly what the PS4 needs that the PS3 didn't have.

Then there's the other stuff you get into, I'm not sure how much any of it is going to be true - but I would love to see new IP's from Media Molecule, Evolution Studios & Sony Santa Monica.

There's two things I really, really want to see with the PS4 though. The first is - as you mentioned in your OP - another exclusivity deal with Insomniac. Like you say, they have two teams - one of them can be free to pursue their EA deal with Overstrike, but the second team could potentially be the Ratchet and Clank devs for the next generation? I'd love to see that.

The second thing I want to see though, is Sanzaru games continuing with the Sly Cooper IP. I think it's turning out really, really well so far, and I definitely think it's an IP worth saving.

Thing is, depends what they expect from it.  WipEout hasn't sold enough to warrant any sequels ever, pretty much (except for Pure, which did surprisingly well) but they've kept that franchise going along nicely - it must be doing something right.

I don't think it'll sell well either, but I'd like to see it continued as a franchise.  Of course, I'd like to see a new J&D game as well, but I'm not sure I'd trust anyone except Naughty Dog to do it justice (in the same way I'd want Insomniac to continue with R&C).
