I also believe it's unlikely that they'll throw in all those controllers. All of these controller options also make me feel like they're segmenting their userbase, as not everyone will own all of the control styles and developers might be confused over which ones to really support. Realistically, I see Nintendo shooting for a $299 price with a tablet and Nintendo Land or some other game pack-in. |
Most likely it will only come with the tablet and a game (Nintendo Land?). I am wondering if Pikmin 3 will have a bundled version that comes with a Wiimote+...
Things working for Nintendo
Things working against Nintendo
Ultimately games compete with each other for time... the core gamers find some way to fund their hobby but time is the hardest thing to allocate and since most of the compelling software on other systems is going to be 2013, enough people will give Wii U a shot in 2012 and once they do... "Playing is believing"
So all things considered, there are more things in favor than against.
350 would really be pushing it, $300 would be the sweet spot.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
Going off what Iwata said:
The least amount they could get away with would be 250$, bare minimum however.
$230, I think it might just launch cheap. At a price like that it would be a super fierce competitor right out of the gate... I'm probably just being way to hopeful though :|
I would definitely not pay anything over 350 dollars, but I expect it to be sold around 300.
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
They could do $350, but only if they want limited sales their first holiday in exchange for some extra cash. If they want to get the ball rolling, $300 for the console with the gamepad at very least is the max.
