Forums - General - Who's the strongest supervillain? (again, no anime)

So the strongest super hero thread is going well and I thought since we talk about the heroes so much why not talk about there enemies. Who's the strongest super villian?

Here are a few of the more powerful ones:

Melkor from The Lord of the Rings backstory. Sauron from the movies and trilogy was one of his minor underlings.

There are the dark god things from Warhammer, the Lovecraft mythos, and the like. Not to mention Nidhogg, the Norse dragon that's eating the multiverse.

Dracula from Castlevania is deceptively powerful. Bear in mind that Death itself is a mere minion.

Discord from My Little Pony deserves a mention. He effortlessly juggled celestial objects and broke laws of physics without a moment's thought.

Oh, what about the Snarl from Order of the Stick? It destroyed the Greek Pantheon and the World in under half an hour.

Yeah, it's a random sampling. But media is filled with big powerful baddies.

Never really thought about it.

Superboy Prime (aka Superman Prime) is strong enough to rearrange planets and punch a hole through time.

Guys like Galactus and the Celestials are powerful enough to eat planets.

Thanos and Darkseid seem to be insanely strong but they never use their full power.

Doomsday beat the hell out of Darkseid in about a minute.

Imperiex blew Doomsday apart in about 5 seconds.

In the end, I guess it all comes down to the writer and who they want to be stronger at the time.
