At what point did we not allow people of certian races to obtain IDs? 

lol. right. tell that to accorn, tell that to the guy that was defeated by al franken when he was up in the polls/results and was about to win, then all of a sudden they found these vans full with ballot, and somehow there were all for franken, how convienient. do you realize how easily i could vote as my neigbor. voter ID/protection is sooooo common sense, its rediculous. 

so im guessing michelle obama is racist in requiring ID at her book signings, im guessing getting loans is racist, withdrawing money is racist, driving a car is racist, getting on a flight is racist. pretty much everything is racist. next time you do anything in life, like make a purchase at the grocery store, and the clerk asks for ID when you pay with your credit card, tell them no, thats racist!

but if thats your only beef with him, then you should still like him, even if he likes fair elections, and you like dead people voting, and illegals voting, or just people impersenating others voting.

This whole thing has been despicable. You don't try to recall a governor for doing exactly what he promised to do during his election campaign. It isn't just "I don't like the election result, so let's have another one", and honestly the threshold should be set higher in the future so we never have a repeat of this. Even The Daily Show was attacking this, and Jon Stewart practically never attacks Democrats.

You need an ID to do ANY other serious action in this country.

Hell you need Id to get a fucking library card.

From the statistics i've seen, the voter fraud has been minimal compared to those disenfranchised by ID laws. It likely toys with the 15th and 24th amendments, because we all know who the types of people are to least likely have IDs, and the Republicans know that people know that when they pass these idiotic laws. It's just like Corbett and his stupid food-stamp verification law, it's a boondoggle to spite the poor because it creates more work for the state than it saves the state in eliminated food-stamp fraud.

The people least likely to have IDs are those who aren't supposed to vote.

There is no excuse for someone to NOT have an ID... and if this law actually convinces people to get IDs, all the better.

It's achiveing two good ends.  More people getting IDs and less voter fraud.

You can't go one election without someone claiming voter fraud so clamping down on it as much as possible seems like a good thing.  Heck, look at the current wisconsin one.  All kinds of claims of voter fraud.

I think the real problem is that voter fraud via ballot stuffing has always been a halmark of the Democratic party.  Which is the REAL reason Republicans are pushing it.  Not any stupid claims of racism... when the number of people without IDs who vote is minimal and should be zero.

I mean, you need a photo ID to get paid in this country.  Because you can't Cash a check without one and can't get a bank account with one.

To say this violates the 15th and 24th ammendents are again.... really stupid.  Espiecally the 15th ammendment.  The people most likely to not have ID's are old peopel on social security who never felt a need to rennew them and already have bank accounts.

That's about it, for legitamite reasons people don't have them, and that could be solved pretty damn easy... and these people don't tend to vote Democrat.

The whole racism cry is pure BS made up ignoring the fact that you basically need an Photo ID or to have had one at some point to get any sort of money at all in this country.

The studies you likely read that claim racism pretty much base it soley on drivers liscenses.  Ignoring that there are other forms of identification, and you NEED one of these forms of identification to do pretty much anything... even when it comes to Welfare.  You don't need a Photo ID in most states, but you do need something that requires a photo ID in the first place to get.

Even most Democrats (who aren't politcians) are for voter ID laws.
