I agree with you. My prediction is the new xbox will come out late next year are early 2014. that's just my guess.

It might be longer than that since by your reasoning (lack of games) Nintendo was preparing for the Wii U for 3 years.

Here are the resources MS puts in the Xbox 3:

Sony and MS both will have some conference early 2013 revealing their next consoles.

Forza is developed by playground games (former codemaster and bizarre creations staff)
Fable is developed by one half of the lionhead staff
Gears is developed by PCF, not epic themselves
Halo is a 2012 title so they can release the next Halo when the Xbox 3 is 2 years on the market. Just like they did with the 360 and Halo 3.

New studios:

  • MS Soho
  • MS Vancouer
  • MS Victoria
  • MS Family
  • MS Leap
  • (BigPark)
  • (Good Science Studios)

And we don't know what they are working on at all. Look at MS Vancouer. Does their homepage look like casual title?

They could do what they did with the 360, have a few new IP's and rare games for the first year (maybe even Crackdown 3?), then once its into the second year, have Gears, then halo and others.

I did notice that there wasn't any 360 games for the later half of 2013, so they have certainly allowed themselves to reveal the Xbox 720 next E3.

The human eye sees nearly 300 times as many "pixels" (the closest thing to it anyway, it's not a camera) as a 1080x1920 display.

Xbox3 in E3 2013 is almost certain since it didn't happen this year, but 2013 launch, i highly doubt it, since 360 will be getting many AAA MS games in 2013 they are not thinking about replacing it anytime soon, especially if it's selling as good

i predict April 2014 the earliest possible launch for Xbox3, except if WiiU does so good 1st year that they hurry up to release it sooner
