Forums - Sony - Sony E3 pressconference was the BEST and here is why

You included Wonderbook as a reason why Sony had the best conference?

They all sucked. It's all just sequels and most look the same as existing games. Beyond was the only worthwhile new IP (so far), and except for one or two amazing looking refreshed games on each system (Pikmin 3 for Wii U, Halo 4 for 360, and The Last of Us for PS3), every console manufacterer disappointed.

I came for 3DS, I just really hope Nintendo doesn't diappoint with that press conference.

The Last Of Us is also a new IP. It's not a refreshed game.

just why do we need hundred of these threads when we have as example a thread "which conference was the best?"

wouldn't it be enough for everyone to post in that thread why sony/nintendo/microsoft was the best?

about the point saying "sony was best because they give us what we want" or something like that, i say microsoft games will sell more than those sony games. does this now mean that sony is doing more for the customers or microsoft? personally i liked sony conference more but if microsoft games will sell more to all of their custumors than sony games will sell to all of their customers with same install base i wonder who really is doing more for the whole 70 million or whatever customers?

we are only a small part of a console infrastructure, we shouldn't always act like we are speaking for all console owners because in reality we speak for the minority.

that's a reason why i can totally understand sony for that wonderbook thing. man sure we hardcore gamers aren't interested in that but lifestyle magazines, magazines for woman or whatever will maybe write about that and sony wants to sell consoles to families as well.

Typing in caps doesn't make something a fact, it just makes it irritating to read...

Wait, you said Microsoft's was the worst? When they had games like

Halo 4
Gears
Forza
Fable whatever
Twisted Pixel Game
2 other new ips
Cod
Those other games I skipped through because I'm bored

Yet you say Sony's is the best because they had random games? oh wait... you are that Novelty account. Gotcha

ahem, im a huge HUGE Gears of war fan. and i really dont like the class based system that is going to be brought in by the people at People Can Fly? Man oh man did i cringe. CoD. i stopped watching after the sniper shot through walls. Forza oh please, they just put new maps and cars in probably the same engine it may prove me wrong though. im waiting for more info. Fable whatever... i dont even hear about it anymore. Im not saying its better than Sony's because i didnt watch Sony's but man the only good thing i see on your list is Halo 4. Which made me buy Halo Anniversary because i only played 3 through Reach and am so lost.

MS' was boring as hell, tad bit better than Sony's. My post was in reference to Turkish's thread about how it was MS' worst conference ever.

I certainly considered Wonderbook the most interesting part of all three conferences. A highly complex system to build with the prospect of new gaming ideas. It is not my/our problem that you are not clever enough to see what ideas are behind this system and just how complex the system might be to program it and what it could offer in the future.

Nintendo was an absolute trainwreck from the first to the last second. Nintendo was completely unable to tell the audience what the Wii U is, what it offers, or who it is made for. I'm sure if they had handed out a questionaire at the end of the show, asking the people "What is asymmetric gaming" they would not have received a single answer. The use of the controler (and the whole conference was about that gadget) was mostly confusing/complicating at best, or complete nonsense (the singing games, the workout games, the dancing games) at worst.

MS was basically blood and more blood on more blood  and some glass softwarethingie where the presenter almost lost it when he realized how his beloved glassy thing completely nullified the idea of his equally beloved Kinect by requiring a cursor.

Edge seems to feel like everyone else; extremely underwhelmed.

Yeah I know especially with the Nintendo Conference. Worst console launch E3 in history.

Sony's press conference was missing one major thing. Halo. MS had Halo 4 and Sony didn't. I go where Halo is, so for me Halo 4 won E3 for MS.

MS 7/10
Sony 7/10
Nintendo 5/10

Keep in mind that I use the whole 10 point scale so a 5 would be an average not bad not great score. A 7 would be above average but not stellar.

Besides Nintendo the other two press conferences where basically he same. The only difference was games. So fans of Sony will say it was better and fans of Xbox will say it was better because each side got the games they prefer. But each spent more time pitching other markets than the most hardcore games. Smart for business, but not for hardcore gamers who just want 2 hours of kick ass trailers. Personally I'm more excited for Halo 4 than anything, but as press shows go they were both 7/10.

Honestly people have become so jaded. If the gaming industry only catered to the most hardcore of gamer tastes then the entire market would like the PC market. Not everything displayed or announced at E3 is for you. If it's not for you move on. Besides it's not like the press conference is even for gamers. Don't let the live streams fool you. It's nothing more than a "PRESS" conference. It's not for your entertainment, it's for informing press and retailers about the stuff they plan to sell potential consumers. These companies don't sit around trying to figure out how to entertain hardcore gamers. They just want to make money for shareholders. Sometimes, like Halo 4, it just happens to be the same thing. Damn Halo 4 looks good!

Yea, but it plays a lot like Uncharted from the gameplay I've seen and like the other two examples we knew about it long before this E3.

I just wanted to separate it from Beyond because that was the only newly announced title.

Regardless...this E3 sucked. I hope Nintendo's 3DS show makes up because that is what I have been most excited for this E3.

You wave a wand in the air to make bs spells. How is that any better then Batman Armored Edition for Wii U (which looks way cooler IMO) or NintendoLand? Pikmin 3 is the king of motion games this E3, sorry. The only other games that i would even consider to be good motion games are Dance Central 3 and Just Dance 4 on Wii U or 360...

Nintendo was not complicated at all, they just didn't announce a price, release date, or many games for Wii U, and technically it's not done because we still have the 3DS conference. What did Sony do for Vita? Nothing....

blood blood blood for MS? The Last of Us had a 10 year old girl stab a guy in the back, Halo is far less graphic. MS also largely focused on Kinect, the only blood for MS was Acension.

So motion Nintendo and maybe MS are best, handheld Nintendo is best, and for hardcore Sony and MS didn't really announce much new. Gears of War and Beyond, wow big whoop.

They all sucked, simple as that, Sony sucked just as hard as MS and Nintendo.
