Nice topic OP.  Got me really thinking about the games I love and then researching when they actually came out.

I'm doing release dates based on when they were out in the UK, and in WipEout's case it's when the Fury expansion came out.   I'd also add that I'm still playing new games all the time from each of these years, so the list is only going to grow with time.

My winner of 2012 so far is Starhawk, but it's definitely early days yet - I've got a long list of games I'm looking forward to buying this year, so it's likely to change!

A lot of the games in the first half of the decade were imports, so some of the years might be off.
While Xenosaga Episode 1 was my least favourite of the trilogy, I can't really remember any other new games from 2003, the early PS2 era

Haha, nope.

I loved it, but Reach wasn't as great as Mass Effect 2, or previous entries in the Halo franchise imo.

Edit: Forgot God of War 3 in 2010 though, I love that game!
