Final fantasy x HD remake...... oh but wait 3ds cant do that

Can do FFX with 3D instead.

yeah, but who actually wants that?  3D is a lame gimmick, I've hated the 3D in all my 3DS games, they'd be better without it.  It's just a silly gimmick that eats battery life.

I disagree and i raise you. Who wants HD on a small screen when you can have it on a big screen TV?

The Vita does not give me a different or better experience than what i have on a PS3.

Perspectives.

So making phones with HD screens is not a good idea when you can just buy an iPad?

Thats a terrible post you realise that?

What is the difference between a phone and an iPad? What is the difference between a 3DS and a Vita? Its on the word man... a phone is used to make calls, and iPad is used for work and casual gaming. 3DS and Vita are handheld consoles.

A terrible post gets a terrible response. Just because you think HD screens are worthless doesn't mean they are. Secondly, Vita doesn't even have an HD screen by definition.

You're saing i said things i didnt. I said the HD on the Vita is not as good as the one you get on a proper TV. I didnt say it was terrible.

I did say your previous post was terrible cause it didnt make any sense towards the conversation. Phones and Ipads arent home consoles.

Neither did I. Also I edited my other post, read it again. So the screen on Vita is not as good as on TVs....wow, they really should just drop their effort, right?

The point here is that Sony's marketing failed flat with the console. It offers nothing better than any other handheld or home console, nothing unique. So i do think its a badly marketed system.

That is my opinion. I just bit the troll that tried to talk down what i think is a geniously marketed device that offers unique experiences compared to one that doesnt.

You obviously like the device, good for you. But it will always fall weaker in feature comparisons to other systems.

You cant take TV's with you on a train.  TV's don't have touch screens.  TV's don't have gyros, and only a few TV's have cameras embedded in them.  your argument fails.  3D brings nothing, gameplay-wise, to the table, it's just a aesthetic gimmick.

And HD on a small screen brings lots of new gameplay ideas? Theres more to the 3DS than the 3D. The 3D brings a new perspective on the games, aswell as increased imersion in the world, wether you like to recognise it or not. Fact is, this experience is in your hands with no need for glasses. You cant have it on any home console except on select games and if you spend rivers of money on a new TV.

Why would i need to experience a weaker version of what i have at home on the move, when i can have something completely different and enjoyable?

The Vita screen brings a new perspective on the games, as well as increased immersion in the world, whether you like to recognise it or not. Fact is, this experience is in your hands with no need for an HDTV.

You know, sometimes you make sense and sometimes you just have this rant that leaves you hanging.

No, the vita does not bring a new perspective in games. HD already existed on home consoles. It brings a reduced version of that perspective.

And before you come tell me its the same with 3D, the difference is you dont need glasses nor to spend fortunes on a TV with only a handful of selected games having the feature. Almost every game on the 3DS has 3D (if not all, im not sure).

What are you talking about? You are right, the marketing failed, because you obviously don't know the features Vita has.

seriously this

I couldn't care less about the suppodedly HD screen (it's not true HD), as I'm not a graphics whore, nor was I saying it has any real effect on gameplay.

3D, on the other hand, is the SELLING point of the system, and is the single worst thing about that system.  All the other features, such as the interface, online features, store, etc, are all really awesome, but the most important thing about the system, its namesake, sucks.

How is 3D superior to HD exactly? 3D is mostly a gimmick, whether it be for movies or games. So HD does not give a fake extra dimension, but it gives you a much more beautiful screen. You don't seem to want high quality screens on handhelds, because you can buy an expensive TV for that...

HD brings a new perspective in the sense that everything looks so much better, cleaner, more "popping". And really I was just showing you how your line didn't really justify why you think so little of HD screens but so much of 3D.

i doubt that's a real new perspective.

3D or HD(though not really HD), it only fits to what someone wants. I personally choose 3D, but HD is still nice. As long as I can still play videogames I don't care.

Doubt is good. "3D" is not a real new perspective either

Depends on how you implement in both sides, i found 3dland another persepective for level design, very cool. Also i found that real HD can create btter worlds since it can have more things going on the screen without feeling cramped. Both have their little benefits, but neither are really used or will be on handhelds most of the time.

It's never forced. It's a given. I know many 3DS owners who don't like the 3D, but still like the system regardless.

The (close to) HD and better colours are immediately apparent when viewing a good screen on a new phone or Vita. I would not use the 3D on the 3DS unless I was forced to by the game >_>

The colors is given becasue OLED is magnificent but  the resolution still lacks to achieve the befits of real HD, sometimes detrimenting aspects on of the game while trying. If the game has a good use of 3d i will use it, if the game is "HD" but doesnt really benefit from this res i wouldnt mind playing it on a smaller res.
