Accounts are getting hacked, just warning players:

Eurogamer has received multiple reports of Diablo 3 accounts being hacked.
[...]
The reports coincided with the EU Diablo 3 servers going offline on Sunday afternoon for around four hours, preventing players from logging in (error 33). It has been suggested that the EU servers were taken offline following a SQL injection attack, but this remains unconfirmed.

I dont think so or can you still hack the us and asian servers because they werent taken down to fix this ?

I think they just clicked on some links and got a keylogger. And if you have a smartphone you can get the blizzard authenticator for free which makes it much harder to steal your pw.

Have you sent a ticket to Blizzard via customer support? Also, try this:  http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5151268312

@Mummelman - How far are you in Hell now? I just started it (defeated Leoric) and so far haven't found it to be a big step up over Act IV NM (the champion/elite mobs are more obnoxious than difficult, especially the Mortar/Jailer/Fast or Walled/Arcane/Frozen ones, but with Spirit Walk I just can run around while depleting their HP, it only takes longer).

Also, you said that you have 17K DPS now, but how many attacks per second? I have 3.4K DPS, but 1.10 attacks per second and each of my Flaming Darts take do about 5K damage unboosted, 8K boosted and can crit up to 20K.

Current PC Build

CPU - i7 8700K 3.7 GHz (4.7 GHz turbo) 6 cores OC'd to 5.2 GHz with Watercooling (Hydro Series H110i) | MB - Gigabyte Z370 HD3P ATX | Gigabyte GTX 1080ti Gaming OC BLACK 11G (1657 MHz Boost Core / 11010 MHz Memory) | RAM - Corsair DIMM 32GB DDR4, 2400 MHz | PSU - Corsair CX650M (80+ Bronze) 650W | Audio - Asus Essence STX II 7.1 | Monitor - Samsung U28E590D 4K UHD, Freesync, 1 ms, 60 Hz, 28"

I'm halfway through Act II, it almost seems easier than Act I, or maybe I'm just a lot better at dealing with this type of mob now, I dunno. Elites can be a real pain for sure but most the ones on Act I weren't so bad.

My attacks per second is 1.83 right now, sped up hand-crossbow with decent damage.
But the leap in damage from the gear I can use (level 57, closing in on 58) and the level 60 gear is truly massive.
I can't imagine many things on Hell that offer much of a challenge if my character had a 1100 ++ DPS weapon...

I also started a Barbarian today, he's just level 15 though. Fun class, certainly a lot more fun than the Barbarian in D2 (never liked him) but seems incredibly overpowered on normal with plenty of stun, AoE, slow, knockback and what have you, already from level 5 and up. Rend is also pretty damn effective, I can imagine it being even better later on since I expect the bleeding damage to be a percentage of your normal damage or, at the very least, based off of your level.

Quite simply THE best game of 2012. It's addictive, awesome and mind bogglingly fantastic. Are players nowadays become too fickle with the ease of other games. Notably CoD and MoH etc... Pure oldskool gameplay which I fear new game players really have no idea about

Level 60 gear is a whole new game in itself. I've seen weapons in the AH at level 60 that have up to 1.2K DPS

By the way, do you play on the EU server? If so, what's your battlenet tag?

I'll send you a friend request . I'm currently finishing up Act III with my own Demon Hunter and you were right about how easy the game becomes with this class XD.

So, I'm only level 28 or so, but I can stay this the only thing I like about D2 (which I loved!!! I played for almost a decade) better than D3 is the fact that it had the necromancer in it. I guess that and you got to see more animations. That is all.

Sure there is less reason to "roll a new character" since you can change skills on the fly, thus making the only reason to roll new character is to have two different sets of items. Sure, a weapon swap/skill swap would be good, but that's not a major complaint. I *ABSOLUTELY LOVE* the fact that skill damage is based on weapon damage. This makes any character class just as good as another (more or less) at MF/GF. No longer is MFing purely a sorc/pally thing, horray!

The lack of stat points is a little :-/ but, pretty much the only stat distribution in D2 was str, dex = as much as you need for gear. The rest into vitality. Only exception were if you wanted max block (more dex) or were an energy shield sorc (more energy). Plus, now you sorta customize your stats via your gear. Your gear gives much more stats than it used to.

Uniques (now legendary) also have 1 completely random affix on it, allowing for potentially even more uber stuff. So far I'm loving it and I'm not even out of normal.

I *LIKE* having 6 skills to select from instead of 2. I *LIKE* not having skill points with a skill tree as it makes skills of all levels more viable. Anyone remember D2 pre 1.10? Save all skill points until level 24/30 and start pumping into the one-2 skills you will ever use in the game. That made anything up to 24/30 a joke as you never wanted to "waste" skill points in shitty skills. You got friends to help you or just prayed your normal attack was enough.

Another thing to note, this is the first patch. Anyone remember D2 1.01 (after the day 0 patch)? That's right, very few exceptional items, NO elite items. No unique exceptional or elite items. A lot of the skills were jacked (lightning mastery reduced mana consumption!). A lot of content and balance changes were added via patches and expansions, expect the same.

Very good post! It sums up how I feel about the game. The combat is so much fun (even better than DII), I love seeing a huge crowd of monsters and knowing exactly how I'll dispatch them with a combinaison of 2-3 skills. Can't wait to get to nightmare, hell and inferno!

Signature goes here!

Well I might as well give my impressions too

So far I am enjoying the game but I have a few issues with it.

1) Skills damage based on weapon damage. it removes the need for +skill mods and that was a nice part of D2, looking for the set that would maximise your char through + skills. Now your damage mainly depends on your weapon and with the worrying report of inferno blue being better than legendary that is not good.

I would rather they sticked with a system like D2.

2) high level itemization and blue weapons being better than legendary, see first point.

3) Gems are going to be an issue down the road as there is no gem sink. So right now it looks like it will take forever to make the high level gems but when people finally get them it will look like a waste because there will a lot of them on the market with always more coming in...

Personally I have no issue with the DRM as I actually had issues with the way D2 worked. You played Single player in D2 and then realized that the rune drops, runeswords and events were better on bnet so ended restarted the same char on bnet and from that point you were always connected anyway ( 99% of my D2 playtime was on Battlenet). So I actually like better that they make you play online from the start and it comes with perks that were not in D2 ( AH).
