Every time I look in the mirror I can't tell if it's myself I'm seeing or another Piplup who looks exactly like me.

It just wouldn't work. You see, hedgehogs are Ground type, while Piplup is a Water type. If I fuse them, I'll have a quadruple weakness against Grass! And because hedgehogs are temperate critters, they can't learn Ice moves using TMs!
