Forums - Sales - Dragon Quest X

Dragon Quest X will open to the following figures in Japan on Wii week one:

Bomb --> Under 150,000 week one 7 7.45%

Low --> 150,000 - 300,000 week one 11 11.70%

Normal "Good"... 27 28.72%

Huge --> 500,000 - 1.0m week one 31 32.98%

Super Huge --> 1.0m - 2.0m week one 13 13.83%

Dragon Quest Huge --> ... 5 5.32%

Total:94

It's DQ, I don't think it matters they could serve a turd in a box with DQ characters on it people will still line up and buy it.

Around the Network

It won't sell well, but not because of the whole online thing... but because the Wii... it's dead, doesn't excite anyone anymore. Wii U version won't sell loads, but will complement the sales nicely.

But will probably generate a lot of money from 1 million subscribers, so that's goof for them. I, for one, was not interested, but after the last trailer... I'll at least try the game!

400k week 1, 750k total

isn't this an MMORPG? if so, sales could be lower.

I am only quoting you because I do not want to look stupid when I misspell MMIRPG.

I think just because they are changing the fomula around, and on a wii which has no other game like it, people will come out and buy it in Japan. Rememeber they like games they can play at internet cafe's and Handhelds since when they are home they are doing family time or whatever I have heard about that before. This is right up the Japanese alley then! A Massive role playing game for the Wii that is fully online!

Very good year for the Wii! I hope that Christmas gives us some surprises as well in America! I said it before and I will say it again Rol. 2012 will be a better year for the Wii that 2011 and maybe even 2010. That is not saying much, but it is kind of strange. Nintendo is bi-polar I think.

You gotta be joking.

2010 was the Wii's greatest year for games; Mario Galaxy 2, Sin & Punishment 2, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Monster Hunter Tri, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Kirby's Epic Yarn, No More Heroes 2, Red Steel 2...

Over 2 million if the Wii U version numbers are included alongside the Wii version.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
