Anyway... what are you expecting Sony PS3 shipments to be now?

Between 2.4 and 2.7 million... to have 1m+ on shelves.

I agree.  I said 2.4 to 2.7 earlier.

Eh, why would Sony need to ship between 2.4-2.7m to have over 1 million sat on shelves when for the past two years at the end of the first quarter Sony have had considerably less than 1 million sat on shelves. Sony are going to ship roughly 2 million like they said they would and that will match Vgchartz numbers perfectly fine.

Less than 1 million without supply issues?

2011: 730k on shelves (supply issues due the Japan tsunami/earthquake).
2010: 400k on shelves (supply issues due phenomenal Slim launch)
2009: 1.3m on shelves
2008: 1.2m on shelves
2007: 700k on shelves (launch in Europe)

900k is to be ok on shelves this time of the year... I expect a little over... less than 900k is unlikely (no supply issues news).

Vita sales will explode this holidays...

With Call of Duty and Assassins Creed Vita is gonna beast in US and EU.

What do they have for Japan though ?

So strange to see PS3 and 360 so close in NA.

Modern Warfare 3 on PS3 and Xbox 360 fail to make the top 30 in the UK this week, I'm not sure what is happening here.

Do you really think AC or even CoD will have such an impact? They will not. These are games that people want to play on consoles not on a handheld. To be true, there is not even one game in sight for the Vita that will drive the sales up. In fact in one year from now Sony will ditch the Vita and the 3DS will be the last gaming handheld.

im not saying it will move as much Vitas as it moves Xboxs but it will move some thousand maybe a milion.

The PS3 is right there on the 3DS's ass! So close, come on PS3!

Maybe I'm missing something here, but PS3 got adjusted up, X360 got adjusted up even more, but this week PS3 is damn close to X360 in the USA, for no reason?

How'd that happen then.

Decent opening for Prototype 2 in the USA

GameStop had a deal going on where you could pick up a system for $199.99. Not sure about other retailers (just KNOW GameStop's deal). The gap is back above 2 million between PS3 / 360 (360 was undertracked), but looks like the PS3 still took the 2011 consumer win (albeit, by much less than earlier estimates suggested).

Amazon did a price match for a few days as well.

Looks like the Vita is REALLY starting to struggle now...

And I'm surprised. I expected the 3DS/PS3 to be closer, if not the PS3 ahead! I don't think it'll have much of a chance now :/

Also, Xenoblade around 25k again this week? Not bad!

Why are you acting surprised? The same thing happened with the 3DS.

Vita will continue to struggle until it gets big AAA games. We'll get some release dates at E3.
