Very nice- it'll be a purchase for me; GTA is one of my favourite franchises, which is strange as a Nintendo fan

GTAV to the Wii U? That is crazy I think. Can Nintendo gamers handle this much awesomeness?

@ Sal

Get the hell out of here! This is factual news! Prediction. The Wii U version will sell the best!

The Wii U version selling the best is pretty much out of the question, no way is it going to outsell a either version that release on a userbase 68M+ (By then both should be this orso idk)

I would be surprised if this didn't turn out to be true.  It fits nicely with Nintendo's recent post-E3 2011 message that they wish to no longer ignore core gamers.   Reggie is probably actively courting Take-Two to show Wii U the love as we speak!  C'mon now!

If this is true, that suggests good things for 3rd party support this gen for Nintendo.

All major Rockstar games seem to launch in the spring. GTA IV: April 2008, Red Dead Redemption: May 2010, LA Noire: May 2011, Max Payne 3: May 2012. Cant see them breaking the habit, they don't see the appeal in releasing their games in the overcrowded Christmas market, especially when it would be going up against both Halo 4 and Black Ops II. Sure, GTA V would easily hold its own, but Rockstar aren't going to deviate from a strategy that has worked so well all through this generation. Hell, the only one of those game I can think of that had any major competition at release was Red Dead with Alan Wake, and Alan Wake suffered a sales never took off as a result.

Better be on Wii U for Nintendo's sake, otherwise they can kiss any chance of recapturing the "core" gamer market goodbye.

I also believe that Black Ops 2 will be a Wii U launch title, no doubts about it. Which is good for Nintendo, because if they're going to succeed in the long run next gen, they need some serious online multiplayer games as well.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Where's the link to the financial report?

I just checked all the Rockstar/Take-Two investor relations filings during the period leading up to that article and none of them state what the article claims.

GTAV is barely even mentioned and even then the consoles are listed as TBA and that's it.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

Why have none of the major site reported this? The article is from June, I'm calling bs for now. I'll wait for an official confirmation from Rockstar or Nintendo.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
