If Sony bundled playstation all stars and little big planet karting, combined with a ps3 price cut over holidays the sales would be huge. As has been said, it would get more people familiar with other characters from the playstation universe. They'd be stupid not to do this!

Well, most all Sony exclusives are bundled at one point or another so... I'm gonna say it will happen?

Well, Nintendo never bundled Brawl, and it never hurt sales...

But if it's not bundled, it will be lucky to hit 1.5mil LT really. So, it's probably for the best.

Still, I wouldn't bundle it. You lose money and you don't find out if the market responds well to it, so you don't know if it's worth a sequel. Certainly not permanantly.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

It is a nice strategy, to strengthen all their franchises in one move. Kid will love this! And Christmas sales have a lot to do with kids!

But, I still think this should have been used to strengthen Vita... it's a perfect fail-proof new franchise that would make the console notable. And Vita could use some kids too!

lol number 1 selling game on ps2 is rated adults only, the highest selling franchise is mature 17+ and second highest selling franchise is a hardcore racing simulator yeah ps2 primary market was kids, and with the only game inherently kiddy (with kiddy being a strech) in the top 10 for ps1 was Crash Bandicoot smothered by Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo, Tekken, and Tomb Raider or games that would never be bundled by Nintendo

Sony's NEVER done that

lol I remember a documentary on PlayStation I watched on G4 where one guy said something like Sony realized that everyone over 19 wanted to be 19 and everyone under 19 wanted to be 19 or something like that I'll try and find it, but Sony's target market for PlayStation consoles have never changed and it's never been "kiddy"

You need to look past the top 10. Past all the big name stuff. Over 2.5 Billion games have been sold on those 2 consoles.

top 10 gives you a clear idea of the software tone of a console

I'm not denying that the ps1 and 2 had kiddy casual games

yup that just happened

but the total combine of those games compared to actual core software is a very lopsided affair

I dont think it will be, really. 1.5 Billion games sold on the PS2. Im fairly sure the "core/casual" ratio will be even.

Bad idea.

Sony needs to get people to buy this game, not give it away for free.

A limited edition custom console should be fine and boost hardware sales.

No because the game looks shit.

This game looks like selling 5m at least. So bundle isnt needed.

If the casuals catch on I say it has a good shot at 10mil.
But we all know marketing isn't Sony's strong point.

What I really wonder here, is where will this game sell the most? America? Europe? Japan?
