It's great that sony listened to the fans and made this. This is day one buy for me and I can't wait to play this with my family and friends seeing we only play the N64 smash brothers so its going to be a blast to play sony characters. It's now on top of my buy list for this year. For those that hate this game should just stfu and stop coming back to this thread.

Btw, how is this copying Nintendo? Does nintendo own a trademark for a 4player brawler game? What else did Sony copy from Nintendo?

Btw if Sony wanted to blatantly copy Nintendo they couldve made a SSB ripoff long time ago on the PS1 but they didn't, this is purely fan servive becoz fans have been asking for this kinda game for a long time.

All in all I think Sony is the only company listening to what fans are asking for:

When we asked for ICO Collection, they made it, when we asked for Sly 4, they started working on it, when we asked for X game chat, they were honest to tell us it was not possible on the PS3 and implemented it on the PSV.

That's what I'm saying. My inital thoughts were '4-Player mascot fighter? Must like like Smash. Bros'. 

And yes, there are similarities. There always will be, because it's the same concept. But there's enough differences for it to be considered something different. I didn't expect that. I'm impressed. 

But again, we need to see more to get the full picture! My only issue so far is it doesn't look too...lively. Too serious. Smash Bros. worked because it was a celebration of all things Nintendo, past and present. It was exciting, it was hectic, it was fun. I didn't get that from this video. It seemed too dark for my liking. Needs more colourful to celebrate everything Sony has done (Spyro, Crash, Sly, Jak and Daxter, R&C etc.), not just the recent stuff.

I'm sure the rest of the game will prove it, but it was an odd opening video.

Indeed bro. If tomorrow Sony shows us a karting game, all these Nintendo fans will be saying its a copy of Mario Kart, when Naughty Dogs have made the best Karting game ever on the PS1

Aww what a let down. I was hoping for a new take on the fighting genre, not a clone game. =/ I'll still buy it though if it has good third party characters.

ok after digging around a bit i really am liking it! i need so so soooo many more characters though! the only reason i have a Wii is for Brawl and i hardly know any of the characters in it :/
this is a perfect fit for me! i love Brawl a lot and would most likely buy a WiiU to play the next one.. but if this PS version is the same or better i won't bother.
