What is there to say that hasn't already been said. This generation is pretty much set in stone and there hasn't been any high profile games released recently.

Why would it go down? Nintendo has shown numbers around what VGC has.

200K overall on shelves? (Globally?) Yeah, overtracked for sure. I could see it being 300K over but not that much over.

yeah i really lost interest in the 360 and ps3 sales after so many years and handheld sales did never interest me. no christmas, no huge game release...nothing.

I had always said that it would sell similarly to God of War 3. So, here's a comparison between the two:

Mass Effect 3 is currently tracking only 100k behind God of War 3, which went on to sell 3.5 million in it's first year.
* Note that Mass Effect 3's first week of tracking was ten days before God of War 3's. So it'll have a week more than God of War 3 for it's first year.
It should do 3.2m by the end of the year, unless it has a pretty lackluster holiday. We'll see. I think it'll be close though.

Nintendo is good with keeping up on restocking things though... I don't think my prediction is that far off.
