I tried to help you, but of course to no avail.

Regardless, what a quiet time of the year for pre-orders eh? Just wait till September, things will heat up!

As always, much appreciated.

As for September, things are going to do more than heat up, I'm not certain, but I think this may be the first time this generation that we could see 3 games doing 200K-250K pre-orders in the same week! (Halo 4, Black Ops 2 & Assassin's Creed 3). That should get some excitement pumping again!

Of course it's not, there's not going to be a PS2 or Xbox version

Nice one Pezus.

Was looking forward to Starhawk but I am losing interest. I wish they would have had the beta closer to the releasse date. Then I probably would have preordered it.

@enditall

You are re-inforcing my point again.........

MS had a whole bunch of exclusives that didn't do over 4 million in sales, and guess what. They completly stopped develolping them.....

It's possible for [PROTOTYPE 2] to have a decent opening first week, just under what the original did and may not catch its lifetime totals either.

Seems quite possible yeah, it's not going to sell a million copies of the bat but this and the fact that BenV thinks the USA pre-orders are slightly under should indicate that it might not totally bomb. :)

I'm also pleased to see new sources of data coming in, USA pre-orders, Japan pre-orders, hopefully soon we'll get numbers from the Germany pre-orders source.

The web is finally branching out.

Is this similar to the COMG data we get (Japan), as in only one store? I also suspect that they don't include PC data there

Can't be sure, I have no reason to assume it's just one store but idk. Will have to see if I can find out on the weekend.

Indeed seems like there's no PC tracking on the chart considering it's bigger in Germany than console gaming.

No Diablo III makes me think it's not including PC.
Don't know where they get their data from... they just call it "retail data". Probably Media Markt + Saturn numbers (which is a good portion of the market)

Hmm, never heard of Saturn before. Wish we could get numbers from them though, obviously there's not much between the games seeing how Halo 4 went from 1 to 10 within the week.

Media Markt and Saturn belong to the same company and I think they're the biggest electronic only stores in Germany. (Expert has more stores, but they vary from very small to big)
